Oh man...alright..here's the deals. ....I know that some of the included waveforms in the "Rhino.Vfs" are Loops....specifically, "Drum Loop 1". this drum loop plays back very much the same as the original i'm sure....without envelopes, lfo's, filters, etc...it's just used as an oscillator....Now, I'm working on a preset collection for rhino, for which I need to import drum loops and have them played back kind of like....welll.....you know what i mean....basically what i'm asking is how did you guys get that waveform "in" to rhino??? Whenever I load a drum loops (simple ones, like just a kick and snare line, 1 bar, 16bit mono wav file) into the additive generator, I don't even get a re-creation of the Rythmic element of the loop....just a very ugly "Buzzing" oscillator....even when I change the pitch, it just sounds like shit.....is there another way to do it that i'm overlooking (that doesn't bring in enevelopes, etc.....just looking to do what you guys did with that "DrumLoop 1" waveform".)

Any help is much appreciated and needed. thanx! :help:

Peace! 8)

Hehe, that's easy: they didn't get in Rhino through the additive generator :-)
To put them in Rhino you'll need to use external waves: these are a combination of .wav files, and a .txt file describing the keyboard mapping. For drum loops the .txt file is very simple since the same sample will be played over the full keyboard range. Check the manual for the format of the .txt files, you also have a sample .txt file in your waves/external forlder.

Before releasing your final bank, you'll want to pack all your external waves and .txt files into a single-file .vfs. There is a standalone .vfs packer available for download in the "private files" area on my site.

Also, once you have the drum loop selected as a waveform, turn off the keyboard pitch tracking so the loop will be the same speed across the entire keyboard. It might be easiest to start with the Harp Strings preset and modify that.
