Sampler: lots of clicking / crackling with bass kick drum

Collective drum kit was working fine with the midi data, but then I replaced it with a sampled bass kick drum... and now it's clicking with every beat. Denoiser doesn't seem to have an obvious declicker and simply muted the track.

(Also tried rendering the sample and using FL Studio's declicker but from the Fl Studio forum that appears to be bugged now... anyway I haven't gotten it to work.)

Edit: I had Sampler's root note set high to lower the sample pitch as well; decreasing the root note to C4 got rid of most of the clicking. However this is still not ideal because I'd like a very low subby bass kick... is there an alternative pitch lowering option that won't produce clicking?
