OK so after a year of having Cubase 9 I haven't been able to tear myself away from those legacy VSTs I have in my arsenal, so due to the VST 2 and 32bit block in C9+ I can't use it.

Can anyone please share ways to circumvent this, I've thought of some but so far nothing working.

Thanks
This isn't what you think.

use jbridge (best option) or copy the vstbridge dlls from cubase 8.5 folder.

you can read about it on steinbergs forum.

Yeah, already touched on that subject in this thread and it works:

This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here? :D ShawnG

Thanks, though have it already, but it's not comp the solution because for instance, to my understanding, it doesn't get around VST 2 block.

What VST 2 Block?

32 bit plugins need the above mentioned workarounds, because cubase is a 64 bit program. Steinberg used to provide a tool to convert them, and now they don't, but that's not really a block. you can still use non vst3 plugs, I do all the time.

There is no vst2 block in cubase.

The poster is probably referring to the fact that Cubase 9 blacklists VST 2 (but not VST 2.4) plugins.

And yes ... it does do this.

No, its possible to circumvent. I am using plugins from *OLD* versions of Cubase/Nuendo, like Quadrafuzz original and Tonic VST.

Just copy "VstBridgeApp.exe" and "VstPlugManager.dll" from Cubase 8.5 to your Cubase 9.0/9.5 folder (backup those two files before).
