i am aware of other methods, but this is what i needed, and now it is fixed!

Thanks again BSP! :phones:

wow man... it is working as expected ==> gratitude!!

Seriously silently wishing that your work --> someday <-- will be adopted to the official platform.
The need for a VST version (benefits: no lag, no stutter, no work arounds), is equivalent to that of standalone version.

This is lovely, thanks! Lets make some music ;)

edit:
side note, that under-sampling feature is freaking awesome for some real dirty grit!

May i ask what the versioning number follows, the module versioning or the Rack versioning?
Cause this module is already at 0.6.9 which has a heap loads of essential internal changes. :ud:

The statically linked modules display the rack version number (consider that a bug..).

The actual Clocked module version in VSVR is 0.6.9.

Can the plugin be somehow set to different sample rates while playing live and while rendering ?
I mean automatically.

Just like U-he Diva can detect if it is in offline render mode and then use higher quality processing.

Changelog:

Code: Select all

** August 19th, 2018
- add idle detection support
   - default detection settings are configured in settings.json
      - "idleDetectInstr", "idleDetectFx"
   - modes:
      - "Always Active" (0): Disables idle detection
      - "Wake on MIDI Note-On" (1)
         - Detect idle output, wake up when MIDI note-on is received
      - "Wake on Audio Input" (2)
         - Detect idle output, wake up when audio input level exceeds silence threshold
   - idle mode is also (re-)stored per patch
  • In order to save some CPU cycles, the plugin now supports idle detection
  • For patches that use a sequencer module to trigger notes the idle detection should be disabled
  • By default, the instrument version wakes up when a MIDI note-on event is received, and the FX version wakes up when there's audio input activity
    • The "oversampleNumIn" and "oversampleNumOut" settings also limit the number of I/O detection channels (see Toolbar menu)
  • This should be quite useful
    • When there are instances of the plugin which are only used in certain parts of a song
    • For instrument patch variations (assigned to different MIDI devices and / or channels)
    • For drum kits

Thanks a lot!
I guess that this is not on a per instance basis. So it works for all the loaded instance?

The idle configuration is stored in each patch. You can change it via the toolbar menu (click the little "z" button).
The settings.json file contains the default configuration for new instrument / FX plugin instances.

Many thanks!

Code: Select all

** August 19th, 2018 (2nd release)
- fix idle detection
- update module LindenbergResearch.Westcoast
  • fixes wake-up issue after playing fast decaying sounds (increased grace period from 50ms to 120ms) + reset idle framecount when output signal is not idle (waveforms with extended "gaps" won't trigger the idle mode anymore)

Bsp thank you for your work, what wanted to ask - What files from zip really require for plugin use ? I mean - do really need keep that thousands files (folders plugins and res) beside dll's after unzip ?

yes if you don't want an empty rack. those plugins are the modules.
