I've downloaded the beta of Wasp XT from the official forums and it looks like it is 100% finished :D . Does someone knows the new additions to FL Studio? When does it come out?

Post

My understanding from Looptalk (FL Forum) is 5.0 is due out sometime before 2069. All kidding aside, sometime before the end of this year (most likely December or so). FYI, gol would rather it be called 4.6.1 and not 5.0.

I can't believe Rich is giving them WaspXT. That's totally insane. Remember when we used to get Fruity and ORION updates almost weekly? Ah, the good old days! Now all we have time for is making music, where's the fun in that?

WASP XT should should be the same as WASP and ...

WASP comes in FL, VSTi & DXi versions so you can plug it into any host that supports VSTi or DXi plugins. (from fruity loops site)

I believe we've had WASP XT in beta for over 2 years now.

On top of that we still pay Rich royalties for our WASP FL/VSTi/DXi sales so Orion users *do* benefit (a little).

See ya,

FL, VSTi & DXi (although the VSTi & DXi versions'll have to wait until we have FL 5.0 out of the office).

If it were up to Gol, FL Studio would probably be at version 1.738 as he doesn't really care about the marketing/commercial/... aspect of the whole (that's where the rest of us come in).

It'd be at any version, I don't care - it could be FL 15.0 as well. As long as the versions increment.

Only problem is that people will see the enhancements from 4.5 to 5.0, instead of from 4.0 to 5.0. If we had kept FL for ourselves until the 5, it'd have looked more impressive.[/quote]

Yeah, I have the same problem as gol ... if it were up to me the software I work on would still be at v0.0.2 but that's why we have guys like you!
