We had all these great records from Disney when I was a kid. The Haunted Mansion story was one of my favorites around Halloween, and I used to listen to it over and over. I always really dug the creepy organs that they had, and I've been trying to find samples that have that sort of feeling to it. Anyone know of one out there that's like that?

*EDIT* Sorry for the double post...browser screw up.

Don't have the plug-in to listen to the tune at that link, but FWIW:

You could try the Jeux soundfont. It simulates French pipe organs fairly well, and most people aren't going to know one pipe organ from another. It absolutely requires a reverb after it or the sound will be toylike and laughable. Add the reverb... not too bad.

Comes with heaps of individual voices, each representing a rank of pipes. Layer several of different "lengths" (those numbers like 2', 8', 5-1/3', etc. represent the length, in feet, of that rank's largest/lowest-speaking pipe) to make "registrations" as you would use stops on a real pipe organ (or increase/decrease drawbars on a tonewheel organ). Pretty flexible. And it's free, which if you're just playing around is the Right Price. :-)

Only flaw I've found: playing Jeux in Reason's NNXT sample player, a few voices -- a Krummhorn comes to mind -- sounded as if they had bad loop points or some such thing. Ought to be easy enough to fix for someone who knows soundfonts (sorry, I don't).
