Is there any loss in quality when using the bluecat patchwork plugin? Also, is it possible to get more than 7 outputs for routing plugins like superior drummer?

I have v1.73 or so and haven't noticed any quality problem or can see a reason it should be. Possibly loading a lot of hosts inside - and might be limited to one thread and core on computer you can run into performance issues.

I use it mostly to setup brass sections ready to go with various VST midi plugins loaded as well to spread midi over different libraries. So 2-3 sampler hosts and a handful of midi plugins is what I have run.

Not sure what v2.x brings, but you are stuck with the outs there.

I use superior drummer with 7 stereo outs, so these kind of hosts does not cut it. You are stuck with whatever 6 or 8 mono outs or what it is.

If to try and understand why you want to load SD in Patchwork - I can think of having presets that fix everything for you in one go.

Depending on host you use - you can look at track templates for that - that load it all with outs named like you want them etc in one go, maybe even set up in a track folder and routed bus for them all with everything inside.

In Cubase track templates are called Track Archives and only there in Cubase Pro. In Cubase what is called Track Presets is very limited in comparison and does not do routings for you in multitrack setup.
