I got the studio drum capsule a couple weeks ago, and just yesterday had a chance to sit down and work with it in depth.
I'm having 2 problems that are seemingly related..
1. With 3 full drumsets loaded in sampletank 2.0.6 I add a 4th set, a hi hat only imap set. While auditioning sounds on the hi hat set, both by my keyboard controller, and the keyboard in the cubase midi editor, it causes a crash. It will work for a few minutes, but then causes something like a midi feedback loop then crashes. Error box says cubase must close. In the text file it references sampletank as the cause. Each drumset is on its own midi channel. I can't see how a feedback loop would be possible!?
2. I have used a blank project to begin setting up a custom drumset using the Imap drum elements. I will use on this whole Rock CD I'm doing. Saving it in sample tank as a preset, but in a blank cubase project so that there are no audio tracks, non-essential midi tracks, or plugins of any kind affecting things..
There seem to be a couple of sounds that are "2 part" as they are labeled "lyr1 and lyr2" .
At any rate, loading any one of these locks up cubase and the computer to where I have to either press reset, or ctrl/alt/delete and wait for several seconds for it to finally come up.
I have tried lowering the poly on each sample set and nothing seems to work.
My system is:
cubase SX 2.2b35
Sampletank 2.0.6
Asus MB P4PE
Intel 2.4GHZ processor
1 GB ram
2 40GB maxtor hard drives
Matrox 450 dual head video
Thanks for any help you can provide!!

It would seem to me that if you are having any LYR problems that you have a previous version of Studio Drums Capsule. We are in the process of sending out a FREE upgrade to the latest version for anyone who bought it before August 1st,2004 (anyone after that would have the latest version update already). Is this the case? If so, you will have a new version sent out to you at no charge.
If this is not the case then please contact either IK tech support about the ST2 LE issue (although I bet it could have to do with how much ram you have and how much the sounds take up perhaps, or it could be that you need the sound update to that library) or contact esoundz tech support 954 846 9447 about the sounds.
If anyone has bought the Studio Drums Capsule before August 1st and wants it quicker than our free mailing of it we're putting together they can ask that it is put in with any other order they do on www.esoundz.com which is another possibility.

Hey Squids,
The confirmation date on the email I got from placing the order is the 6th of september. Is it possible that I got an older disk by mistake? and how can I tell?
Also I am not using the sampletank LE that was included as yet. I am using the engine only upgrade from ST1 XL
What about the UFO program. I noticed an update on the SR web site. Could this be an issue?
Thanks for the rapid response!
I will also see about throwing in an extra gb of ram!!

Hmmm. There shouldn't be a problem then. So, this is odd. Please send an email listing which sounds are coming over as LYRs to dan@esoundz.com and he will investigate and see if there needs to be an update to the UFO or not. There really shouldn't be the need. But we still need to find out the details. Please contact him. Thanks.
