I use a different module for noise, but it is just white there with no controls, so you need to use other modules to shape it.
"Mutable Instruments Utilities"
Maybe it will be lower CPU than the one you linked.
Hm, i enter "mutable" word in search in list, this is even not founds anything (version latest, from 26aug) :?
That's normal, search for "audible" instead.

100 Bogaudio noise module instances take ~7% DSP time on my CPU (i9@3.4GHz, buffer=64@44.1kHz), and the CPU load is ~1%.

The single core performance of your Q9505 is about half as good as the i9's so 25% load for a single noise module sounds quite unreasonable.

I suspect that you were looking at the task manager (instead of the DAW's DSP meter), and that the load is caused by something else, probably the GPU driver / graphics renderer (25% CPU load on your quad core CPU means that one core is fully loaded).

Please try turning off vsync in settings.json (set it to false), and maybe lower the "refreshRate" setting to 15 (fps).

Haha :) Yeah, i was thinking about something else when writing the name...

Bsp ok thanks, with enter "audible" i see module "utilities" i guess is what meant Mutant, i tried use noise output from "utilities" and it works ok and eat 0% of my cpu. As well i found "bogaudio noise" module and this is the works with 0%-1% cpu for me too. That inspiring. Bsp can you test please exactly [GEN] Noise from RjModules for your cpu ?
About above solution - ok thanks will try, but how this module will be for you ? maybe the same behavior.

just tried it -- it's definitely a CPU hog.
7 instances = 90% DSP load.

For comparison: 27 Bogaudio noise modules + 27 huaba EQ3 modules (for shaping the noise) use 25%.

Ok thanks, damn, but why, what occur inside him, some bug maybe. I did check other some RJModules like Supersaw, Filters, Displays, Twin LFO, so, it's all almost not load cpu, about zero.

submit a bug issue to the developers github project, so he/she can take a look at it.

Hi there is a strange thing happening when using the midi 1 module in Fl studio. In order to hear sound from a external vst sequencer I have to set it to midi input control. I set the ports out and in to Veeseevee to make it happen.
My goal is not to have Veeseevee under keyboard control (I thoought I fixed this by using FL studios "receive notes from feature" set to ALL on my keyboard. However There is also bleed from Veeseevee to my keyboard even if I do this. Its still trigger notes in Veeseevee. So its not working.

If it helps I am using the Minimoog Model V patch from VCV Rack patchbay.

Great! Thanks :)

It would be great if FL studios Mute Solo buttons would control Veeseerack as well. But this is still cool

One big feature request - would it be possible to program it so the mouse scroll wheel can change a knob value? I need this especially for assigning automation to identify the controls number assignment and its more fun to use. 1 click on the scroll wheel 1 digit change please.

Sorry but I cannot help you with that (I don't have FL Studio). Mute / solo works fine in other DAWs and is actually not a plugin but a DAW feature.

I can see how this is useful but there's one problem with this: The mouse wheel is used for scrolling the rack and if it would also be used for editing controls, you'd end up accidentally changing your patch settings all the time (I know for sure since I once implemented this in another application and eventually removed the feature for all controls that are located in a "scrollpane").

However, I am aware that it's not always easy to identify the automation parameter (i.e. when you want to pencil automation curves in instead of recording the dial/slider movements).
Maybe in future releases I'll add a feature that displays the parameter number for the current mouse-over widget.

Changelog:

Code: Select all

** September 2nd, 2018
- update module bsp.Scanner
   - add input randomization feature
- add module bsp.AttenuMixer
- add module bsp.TunedDelayLine
  • The new Scanner randomization feature shuffles the (active) input ports which can be useful when using the module for "additive" / layered waveform synthesis
  • The reasons for adding the AttenuMixer module to the plethora of already available mixer modules are
    • I often found myself using the combination of an attenuator(+inverter) and merger module and thought it would be handy to roll the functionality into one module
    • The module uses very little space
    • The scale knobs allow for very precise editing in the lower value range (e.g. vibrato depths)
  • The TunedDelayLine module is meant for Karplus-Strong synthesis. It can be used for synthesizing string sounds. Here's a demo video with some guitar-ish sounds I made: https://vimeo.com/287875320
  • See here for module documentation + source code

Would it be possible for the plugin to display the value of the last touched knob/fader ?
Sometimes i want to set 2 parameters on 2 modules to identical values.
Or is there another way to do that (except duplicating the module) ?

Any chance of adding the Gratrix MIDI-C1 and MIDI-G1 modules?

Really appreciate the work here!
