Well fingers crossed this remains an option. I just don't see the need for KU for me. Mostly, I just want Kontakt 6 but I'm excited to work with the new Massive (whatever it is), but obviously I don't need Massive.

I found that to be a hint as well... i don't think they'd celebrate "10 years of Massive" for a simple sale. We'll see. If it really is the next Massive, and they might build in sample/waveform import, then it could get really interesting.jsp1979 wrote:Since they are celebrating 10 years of Massive, Massive X might be NI taking the same naming approach Image Line took for FL Studio 20....and using Roman numerals, of course.

Massive X is probably just an offer to get a free preset pack when you get Komplete 12/12U
my newest sounds:

I'm actually confused, I was looking at NI's blog post where they talk about looking back at the last 10 years of Massive - but they also point out Massive was released in 2006. Doesn't make sense?jsp1979 wrote:Since they are celebrating 10 years of Massive, Massive X might be NI taking the same naming approach Image Line took for FL Studio 20....and using Roman numerals, of course.

Yeah, I noticed that as well. So, they're celebrating 10+ years of Massive.
Perhaps the fact that it doesn't quite match up even though they're emphasizing it means that the X stands for 10 in Massive X.

Isn't it possible that Massive X just stands for the Massive Xpansions that they're selling right now?
Just a thought.
Just a thought.

It looks like that to me too, but on closer inspection the "deal" for K11 is the same price as for K11U. So not actually a deal at all.mutantdog wrote:I went from K10 up to K10U. Looking at the "My Komplete Offers" section in my account, I'm currently offered update deals for both K11 and K11U.

If that were the case there would not be a massive x license as well as a massive x factory library license.wagtunes wrote:Isn't it possible that Massive X just stands for the Massive Xpansions that they're selling right now?
