Deadly Computer Virus / Rebirth

Finally bought FLStudio this morning.
Most of you don't know it, but the Chase you all know and love has always had a bit of a piracy problem.
2 days ago, i had to reinstall Windows XP Pro and all of my applications as well due to the virus "w32.jeefo" (A.K.A. the "Hidden Dragon" virus). I got the virus from downloading cracked programs off of P2P trading programs (Kazaa, DC++, etc.). Instead of installing the cracked FLStudio i have, i decided to go out and buy it.
As pissed off as it made me to have to redo my entire computer setup, I'm actually glad the whole fiasco took place now that i have decided to stop piracy. It's as if El Nino came in and took all the bad out of my computer.
I can't tell you how good it feels to own a copy of this software that i bought with me own money. I've been holding the box in my lap for about an hour now (the box is on top of the kitten that is normally there). I think I'm gonna pin it to my wall like a poster.
There is no reason to Pirate FLStudio. Once you buy it, you own all future versions for life - for free.
Up next is:
Absynth
Adobe Audition
Pro-53
FM7 - maybe. I'll have to see how sytrus works out
After that, I'm free.
The moral of the story: buy your shit. you will enjoy programs infinately more if you pay for them, and you will strive to understand them more like you couldn't even Imagine (or Image Line - good god im corny).
Also, what's the cheapest place to buy Absynth? I'm not exactly wealthy.

Last I remember boxed versions only include one update unless you go on-line and pay a little more for a lifetime upgrade license like the on-line version has...I'll have to double check...they have revamped their webshop...does it say anything on the box about that?Chase wrote: I've been holding the box in my lap for about an hour now (the box is on top of the kitten that is normally there). I'll be a lil bit let down if that's true. I don't know why it would be. Still happy, though.Ford Prefect wrote:Last I remember boxed versions only include one update unless you go on-line and pay a little more for a lifetime upgrade license like the on-line version has...I'll have to double check...they have revamped their webshop...Chase wrote: I've been holding the box in my lap for about an hour now (the box is on top of the kitten that is normally there).
