just for reference the results from our poll:

How can the results be so different?!

energyXT is missing, I think a lot of people still use that.
I think someone just spent a lot of energy and time on trolling, ardour and tracktion were the last ones with zero votes until they suddenly got all the votes at once. /sad
It takes about 30 seconds to setup a script to automatically vote for something on strawpoll.

It's not exactly a useful service.

That explains why Ardour is that high on the list, the Linux feaks are able to write scripts...
Though Ardour is my second DAW...

I like this poll, you can vote as many times as you like from the same computer.

I voted yesterday, and again today.

Great for indecisive people like me

I voted again, now for Garageband because no votes so far, but doesn't count because IP address has already voted.
Oh well, there's probably open proxies to solve that.

Is it hard to believe that their whole user base voted? :hihi:
 :tu:

Don't forget after the Flakewalk people posted this on their forums, the entire Flakewalk by Mattel user base voted . . . hell half of them voted twice.

God bless their insecure little hearts.

I believe that is one of the most immature posts I have seen on KVR recently. Be sure to let us all know when you graduate from your parent's garage.

You were doing alright up until there

But that really takes away any impact created by the first part. But I will except the award, mind you it was kind of out of the blue and unexpected, so I haven't got an acceptance speech prepared, but thanks anyway :tu:

Sure will . . . but it wouldn't be necessary, you'd already know because I'd have to climb over you to get out in the first place.

Ha! That's almost funny!

But really, your constant vendetta against a particular DAW and their user base is getting old.

I use several DAWs, so I am not tied to a specific fan base. But the mature approach would be to realize that DAW users do not all come in one shape, color, or size. Respect them all please, and hold the generalizations, because generally they are false!

Once again, I accept the award, it is truly humbling having the award presented by, and being in the company of such great maturity, I will remember it always.

It is a legitimate DAW with a legitimate base of users. It has it's strengths and flaws, just like every other DAW out there.

Posts like yours are the reason that opinion polling gets lambasted the way it does here at KVR.

Well done.

Logic Pro. I prefer Macs to PCs anyway, so Logic, for €179, was a no-brainer. I've tried Reaper, just in case Apple annoys me enough to move to PC, and pretty much hated it. If I ever do go PC, my choice would probaby be Cubase.

I stick with one DAW so that my main focus stays with making music, and not expending time and energy learning other DAWs. Time and energy are at a premium at this point in my life.

YMMV.

Reaper is for Mac also!

Nonsense. Fanboyism, and false loyalty to a brand does. Trolls also.

Anyway, who really thinks that such a poll is in any way representative is very deluded anyway. It's pretty obvious to me which are the real popular DAW's, and which are the real less popular ones.
