The biggest shortcoming I'm aware of for them is there's no modulations for the filter or amp - no LFO, no envelope.palmdale/rep wrote:what can you guys tell me about the KorgElectribe•A mkII Analog Modeling Synthesizer, I know I'm wrong w/ all these questions.
That's a deal-killer for me... I'd choose the Roland SH-32 (I'm not sure that's still available), or maybe the MicroKorg instead.

Hi:
I have a Korg Electrive EA-1 (the orignal
not the MKII).
It don't have LFO, but have a simple env
for the filter (Only decay).
Its a very basic synth, and the sound is
not the best (really digital at high resonances).
But is really cheap, and if you use some
of the osc features (ringmod, sync, etc)
you could get some nice sounds.
Another mod option are the motion sequences,
you can tweak a parameter in realtime and
this movements are saved with the pattern.

If you are interested in beat boxe/synths then you must look into the Yamaha RM1X sequencer. Great beat box, decent synth and a fabulous sequencer.
