That fits into the current Modular craze... :hyper:
I only care about analog modulars

Saving presets and ensembles is not particularly user-friendly...
Well, there are several ways to go about it. The simplest is actually NOT using snapshots system, which forces you to resave the ensemble. You can just use the preset system (so, not embedded to ensemble, no need to modify or resave ensemble). For that it's just a simple File->Save preset as... command. Or in Reaktor's preset browser, instead of in "Embedded" section, use the User section to create such presets. Again, no need to touch the ensemble at all. Pretty easy.

Benefit of using presets system as opposed to snapshots is that you DO NOT need to load the ensemble first in order to load those presets. You just load the preset and it opens the appropriate ensemble along. Of course, in Komplete Kontrol and Maschine, even snapshtos are recognized as presets and you can just load whichever snapshot you want, it also loads the appropriate ensemble without you needing to load it beforehand.

I have been using Reaktor for years...I never fully got this, till this post.... it was usually me fudging and never remembering what I did last time to save my presets.....
I think your second method is what I eventually did a year or so ago to save my user presets for monark.. I am sure I probably saw it somewhere, but certainly a few months later, because it is so unusual to the rest of the plugins I have, I totally forgot how to do it.
Thanks for this.

From Musicradar: "The UI is still under wraps, although we have seen it and can confirm that it has a more modular design than its predecessor, which enables synth elements to be changed and rearranged a little like Reaktor Blocks, albeit stopping slightly short of fully modular routing."

So, more and more, it seems the synth was prototyped in Reaktor, before being coded as a standalone instrument. Which rises the question: Will we see the specific modules as blocks for Reaktor in the future?

Damn, i am so sick of loud obnoxious flashing lights videos with zero useful information.

NI would do better to sack all the useless dumb marketing droids and employ some more developers, especially some that can make hidpi interfaces.
 It's a teaser trailer, it's not meant to give useful information. As it gets closer to release time, NI will put out a more informative video. In the meantime, do try to relax...

Well,if that was their intention, then they succeeded admirably...

Because it was completely useless and a waste of precious time and resources

Strange, I am not excited at all...
All this useless speculation in the „leak“ thread is just going on here...
There will be new stuff in the future anyway... All this is simply marketing to get hold of your money, especially if you are on a limited budget. They don‘t want you to spend it on a more innovative competitor before they even know what it could do...
I doubt that they even consider MPE. If they would, they would mention it...

Fwiw... the leak might well have been the reason Massive X is in Komplete but not til feb. Remember it has those ??? in the file name? It’s not a bad working theory to deduce that they knew it might well not be ready in time, but given the widespread feverish interest in it once leaked, it would have looked very bad to then not appear at all. Forum reactions to Komplete are always kinda grumpy, but would have been doubly so with everyone saying “Massive X doesn’t even exist, this is less than we even thought”.

I can’t remember NI giving advance notice of a product in this way before, it is a little against type. Anyway, just a theory, we’ll never know.

You guys worry too much. It will come out in February and it will probably be really good. A lot of people will complain about the UI, the CPU use, and how it's just not the same. A lot of people will not care about those things and use it as a synthesizer. A lot of people will buy it, some people won't. Some people will make music with it, but most will probably just talk about it on a message board. Every other large company will continue to make "teaser trailers" for high-profile movies, video games, and yes - sometimes synthesizers. The sun will somehow continue to come up.
