Not really. Stopped using CronoX, Tau Pro and MDA JX10 about 3 years ago. Around the time we got WaspXT I stopped using Junglist much and Scorpion completely. Since then its been fairly stable with Synth1 JunoX2 and JX Synth. Now that I've been able to incorporate Osc Sync into one of my own synths I have been able to get rid of Junglist and JunoX2 completely and drastically reduce the use of Synth1. And I use polyIblit in one song [tried replacing it, couldn't make anything else fit]. Apart from that, its internal generators and little killerz. So at the moment I've got five synths in my active VST folder and a few more in "backwards-compatibility" that I will gradually try to replace.whyterabbyt wrote:havent you spent an awful lot of time replacing stuff wholesale?
Overall I look at trying to replace old synths with new ones as a good way of revamping songs or confirming original choices. Its also a handy way of putting a new toy through its paces.
BTW, that was a pretty lame attempt to justify your original snipe.
