Can anyone explain what int32LSB is? When i select my ASIO driver it says the following: Status: open, set to 44100hz, int32LSB, 1x2 outputs, 7x2 inputs available
uh? so you ARE already running in 24bit. A lot of 24bit soundcards run with 32bit integer drivers (because 24bit is a bitch to handle). They just don't use 8bits of those 32.
AFAIK ASIO drivers run at what they tell the app, or what the user selects in their ASIO panel. Apps can't dictate that.

So what are you missing exactly? Or does that prove that 24bit output is BS because you couldn't hear you already had a 24bit output?

Post

nowhere does it record out as 32bit
yes it does. FL both records live and renders to 16bit integer or 32bit float wave files. 32bit float wave files = no loss/clipping at all, it's straight out of the mixer.

Hey Gol, got any ideas on why the ASIO and other drivers showing up twice in 4.5.2? Is it because the old drivers and the new drivers I installed, are both installed?
I don't see where I can uninstall my old 2496 drivers. (if any 2496 card users would like to help please  ).

If I could uninstall the older drivers, I am pretty sure it would fix studio showing duplicates right?

Hey Mighty you could just try uninstalling all of the soundcard drivers (from device manager) and then reinstalling. If FL is detecting them they must be there I guess :?:

FL 5 will have the best pitch shifter & timestretcher currently on the market (ZPlane Elastique). Just 'drag' any wav to the desired lenght and you're set.

See ya,

jmc (FL Studio)
oh oh oh,i should test drive one of these :o

Kriminal that's the post of the month :D

but as others have previously stated in other forums, changing fl studio to do loop record is beyond the technical capabilities of imageline.

that's why it won't and can't be done despite it being the second most requested feature in the looptalk users poll.

there is too much legacy code from its drum machine origins.

notice how ableton incorporated loop record mode in their first vsti/midi version ! if your code is well organised adding it is not a problem.

instead imageline looks like adding bits of marketing fluff - features that most will salivate over but never use

but so be it. there are many new fish in the sea since the glory days of fruity.

:P

it's ok they've heard plenty of posts like these and if you know that it was the 2nd most requested feature, and they still can't add it then what is this reply going to accomplish?

I dont think it WOULDN'T be added if could be,I think it just CAN'T be added so it isn't.

don't know if the future holds a complete write over of the FL Studio Sequencer? i don't know but IMHO
Fruity Loops should of kept it's original name untill the day came that the sequencer was re-written and then re-named as FL STUDIO you could of still sold both.

kept up the minimal updates to Fruity Loops all the while creating a monster incognito!
but hey It's not my coding so what i think won't get to far...

great Software though :hihi:

whats is the difference in exporting waves in? 16 and 32?

and what does the 0.24/16.8 stand for ...

rookie question yea so?
least im searching for knowledge

Post

Yeah Brian, I can do that.
I just didn't want to do that because my computer might now assign another IRQ when it finds "new" hardware.
I will do that though, since I know it will work for certain....just don't want to lol.
Plus I need to find my new driver disk I burned  :?

it shouldnt be a problem mighty- IRQ assignment should follow its position in the PCI slots.

i don't know much about programming, but the idea that something like "loop recording" would be impossible given an app as complex and well-coded (only a guess from the cleanness of the UI) as fruity is ludicrous.

Whats the #1 most requested feature? :? I would have guessed loop recording.

I realize Gol and Co. are beyond sick of the same old feature requests. I've been using Fruity since version 3.0 and the most substantial answer I've seen to the loop recording question from anyone on the FL staff is "We've answered this so many times already".

So if you have an answer, and you're tired of being asked over and over, why not put it in the FAQ? That's the point of having an FAQ... right? :P

Post

what would loop recording actually allow us to do? i have to admit to noy knowing what you guys are talking about :help:
