The JH Piano is a Steinway. 3 Velocity layers, more or less every full tone sampled, sustain and non-sustain samples and release samples. I like it quite a lot on some things and not at all on others, it probably depends on your style if you like or hate it. Also the K Piano is a Kiowa and kinda new.

Hoohey,

you've an awefull legendary list of free pianos - with
all kinds of characters and sizes. The latest addition
- your JH Steinway piano - has 500 mb (!).

It is great, thank you for that!

Hey bigcat,
from your older blog I grabbed the JH 'Kontakt Patch that Smooths the Velocity Layers' (JH Piano LPF Modulated nki).
I like it a lot. Any reason it's not in the download from the new site?

Good question and there is a complex technical explanation, which is I've been incredibly lazy recently and haven't added links to all the stuff yet and I think I'd kind of forgotten about the JH pianos stuff on top of that. Thanks for the reminder.

Just spent an hour editing that page and still don't have everything up. Wow over 25 pianos.

I think your idea of abject laziness would be to stop mucking about with samples for a couple of hours to get some sleep.
