In logic pro x there are 2 nice midi effects that I like. Is there something like this in Cubase?
maybe a plugin from another company?
basically you put a chord trigger first, and you set the type of chords you want. in general. triads.. triads with sevenths, sus 4 and so on.. when you press a key, c3 for example, you will play c major. later, you put a transposer and set the scale or mode that you want, so when you play each chord, you will stay in the scale. you press on c3 and you will hear a9 chord. of course its depends on the scale you choose.
its really nice. I find that its giving me very good and "pro" sounding harmonies.
later you can play a melody with another instrument and just using the transposer, so you will stay in the scale. without the chord trigger. I find it very very useful. im a guitar player, not a piano. I know music theory, but there is a limit on what I can do on the keyboard (I want to buy a midi pickup for the guitar.. but this is another story :) )
so im looking for the same workflow in Cubase.
yes... there are the chord pads and chord track. personally I don't really use them. I don't find them useful.
if there is a plugin with the same workflow, from a separate company please tell me :)
thanks

Thanks guys I will check these plugins!
And yes thank for the chorder idea in cubase. I tried it in the beginning but I did not had any presets for some reason so I did not understood what to do at first. it's a bug..apparently. so I fixed it now, and yes, it possible with the chorder and the input transformer.
very similar workflow like logic. thanks.

Never mind, I see you know about Chord Pads. Not sure why you don't use it. It is exactly the function of triggering chords using a single note. You can even set progressions and inversions etc...
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer
