Greetings!
I've just been watching a few Soul Train clips on Youtube, and those dancers had great, energetic moves: the likes of which you'd rarely see on a dancefloor nowadays.

Think my favourites are Jody Watley and her musical partner (and Moonwalker) Jeffrey Daniel, both later of Shalamar. Their fun routines remind me of the nonsense myself and my lady friends used to pull on floors in our dancing days in the 90s!

Completely different genre/culture but same sort of time: Hawkwind's dancer Stacia is also wonderfully memorable (and nuts!)

Anyway which dancers, of any style, have left a lasting impression on you?
Cheers,
DW

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

C/R, dongles & other intrusive copy protection equals less-control & more-hassle for consumers. Company gone-can’t authorize. Limit to # of auths. Instability-ie PACE. Forced internet auths. THE HONEST ARE HASSLED, NOT THE PIRATES.

Alex DeLarge's tribute to Fred Astaire. Or was it Gene Kelly?

How about Pan's People, and the lovely Babs? Oh, and what was my favourite dancer's name? Oh, yes, Barbara...

I don't have favourite dancers since I'm not really into dance. But I have favourite musicians and they do dance. Some of them seem to dance like Elaine Benes.
