I know it probably won't be heard, but why can't Ableton have this ?
I don't mind using plugin chainers for the same thing, but this could really come in handy if Ableton actually implemented this.
Below is a quick little mockup i made..
Basically it shows a group master midi clip that can control all 3 grouped midi channels in it. Then additionally if someone wanted they could add their own DAW modulation clips to modulate the synthesizers along with the master clip.
This would be great for layering huge complex sounds that use multiple sound sources..
Yah I don't mind copying and pasting, but this would be faster.

You kinda can do that already, but you just need to have a midi master channel grouped in instead of the midi being on the group channel itself. Note what the midi in is set to on the populated midi channels.

It's been a while since I opened up Ableton and had a good go with it. I totally forgot about this..
