This was released very quietly.
Sadly cant see anything about an upgrade path.

I guess this explains the recent promo deals that have been going around

smart:EQ 2 now includes the long-awaited pre, post and pre/post analyzer.
smart:EQ 2 includes new profiles for content-aware audio processing.

I received a 9.90€ upgrade from freiraum coupon today, too. Bought it I think a year ago from vstbuzz or apd.
It seems to have same functionality as smart EQ Live, besides not having zero latency mode.
How similar is smart EQ Live compared to Gulfoss?

Interesting as I just got freiraum yesterday from Audiodeluxe for $49.
Still no serial received yet.

Ive emailed Sonible about an upgrade.

My download link for smart:EQ still points to the old version.

I really like freiraum - it does things no other tool I have seen does and it very useful. It's also potentially very destructive as well so it require care in use. I did buy smartEQlive but it crashes Logic on my main music machine. Sonible will not help resolve this. I beleive I have an issue with my mac user account that is causing the problem, but it would be nice to get some help from Sonible since smartEQlive is the only plugin I have problems with like this. I have shelved the smartEQlive plugin for now, undecided about what to do with it. I demoed smartEQ 2 and bought it for 8.75€ (no tax was applied). It appears to do what smartEQlive does but its not 0 latency. That's fine. I may now sell smartEQlive since I can't use it. I haven't had time to really work with smartEQ 2 but I have worked with smartEQlive on my other mac - its very nice and genrally goes a good job of automated EQ. If smartEQ 2 works as well, then great! :phones:

It actually appears to be exactly the same as the Live version but without the real-time option.

What would it give you if you already own the Live version?

Well smart eq has 5 smart bands and live really has 3, but the don’t have full control over each band like smart eq does.

No more "smart filter" (aka magic wand) per filter in Smart EQ 2 : now you only have a "profile" button. This is a very good change.

For the people who aren't familiar with Smart EQ 1 : you have to activate the smart filter for the EQ to guess the profile of your sound (this is what this EQ is made for), and it needs a little less than ten seconds to analyse the sound. But then you have to re-do it for every filter (x5). So, to save time, you tend to activate every smart filter from every band at the same time... which happens to burn your CPU...

So far I'm loving Smart EQ 2.

One thing I noticed is that with SEL (smartEQlive) you can set the auto EQ to correct continuously. This is nice to keep the audio adjusted using a dynamic response. With SE2 (smartEQ2) I do not see a way to leave it on continuously. (which is a bummer because I like this feature but SEL doesn't work on my mac and sonible wont help me to fix it). :phones:

Think it's the same for all Freiraum owners.
I still haven't received it and their support is terribly slow...last time I waited over a week.
