Boz's Imperial Delay can also have ducking either outside or inside the feedback loop - essential if you want the classic 'repeat the last phrase of the vocal only' delay effect
That is something only Elton John himself could possibly know!!

Well, I mean it's not like there was a shortage of reverb plugins when the Vallhalla Verbs came out...
This is true, but there were very few inexpensive and extremely nice reverbs when Sean came out with his first few reverbs. Between MFM, Colour Copy, Sean’s own FreqEcho and Ubermod, all of the Unfiltered Audio Delays, and my old trusty Ohmboyz (which are far less than half of the delay plugins I have, but are the ones I use most), it will have to be pretty damn amazing or have some really bonkers type tricks up its sleeve to get my 50 bucks.
I wouldn’t be too surprised if Sean pulls it off though.

A Valhalla delay plugin is by far what people have been requesting/wishing for the most over the years up and down KVR after the release of Valhalla Plate...

In fact I don't think I have ever seen any other developer being "bugged" as much to release a certain type of plugin.

As owner of VVV. VRoom, and Ubermod I will buy this for sure

I have no doubt that Sean's delay will happily sit side by side with the several other delays I have in software and hardware, each fulfilling particular sonic niches, each inspiring in a different way, and each finding its way into my recordings.

If you have an flexible modulation system like in Fabfilter Timeless or the Unfiltered Audio Delays (e.g. Sandman Pro) you can create feedback ducking really easily by yourself.

Feedback ducking to me is not a sought after feature. I'd like to maintain the feedback I've while ducking the dry signal.

Each to their own, so good to see someone out there likes that feature.

Anyway, although I think there's a good a chance BBD will also be covered in Sean's plugin considering how much he's talked about what made them good in terms of character, I still think the comparisons between this and Color Copy will probably end there (and IMO that's where should end just like Echoboy and Color Copy don't compare well beyond the lone BBD saturation type in Echoboy).

Why does everyone say, “there are already a ton of delays?” Ford could have stopped in the early 60s and said “Well, there are already a ton of sports cars out there, better fold up shop and go home.” Instead, they kept going and made the Mustang.

Things change, things improve. Computers improve, algorithms improve. If the old delays you have sound good, that’s awesome. If the new ones come out and sound awesome, that’s awesome too.

I understand what you're trying to say, but usually people own only one car. I really don't see the need to own more then one of a certain type of delay, unless you really enjoy buying and collecting.

I think a lot of people have their handful of go-to plugins that they know and like the sound of. Adding another plugin to the mix is usually out of experimentation or for a spark of inspiration. It becomes a wasteful thing when people try and fill an obsessive desire to own something new.

A talented person can use basic delays and creative effects chains to come up with exactly what people are trying to buy with their wallets. It's all about what you can do with what you got, then to be always looking for greener grass. This is most evident in the hardware arena, the never ending search for the perfect piece of gear.

I've never heard a single person say they love a song because the delay is so magical.

And a great example of what not every other delay plugin can do (Catch the tail of the video).

I remember searching a while to get just the sound I was looking for in a dub style delay. Ultimately, I ended up alternating between Ohmboyz and AD's Dubstation (version 1 at the time). Not all delays can get this sound.

Even Logic to my surprise had an amazing saturation on the wet signal that few others get close to.

Different people use delays for different reasons, and if someone thinks any delay is as good as every other delay... Please just consider for a moment that you might have a purpose in using delays that does not apply to everyone else.

Funnily enough, ÜberMod has been my go-to delay for a long time, even for tape-ish delays. I love all of Sean's plugins and I'm sure this one will be great as well :tu:

He's very passionate about sound and really knows what he's doing. His approach to interface design is also great. It's always worth checking his stuff out, in my opinion :tu:

New pic of it. I don't usually get too hyped for a plugins release but this one I am eager to use it. Soon I hope!
