In my country there's tradition of full time jobs that are payed less than part time jobs and that full time jobs are sometimes more than 8 hours which aren't payed extra in which you work your ass off and when you finish you barely can stay awake, but what would you know or care, it's important you are happy and living a dream, there's real world out there and people suffer, like, for real.glokraw wrote: Mon Oct 01, 2018 6:54 pmIn the USA, there is a tradition of 'part-time jobs',Zexila wrote: Mon Oct 01, 2018 6:30 pm Will do, this place is utter fanboi land, no devs even visit.
people often utilize their pent-up energies by working
more hours so they can buy something special, or save
up for a down payment on a home, or start
a new business, during the hours that
couch potatoes moan away while
watching the world go by.![]()
Oh yeah, I earn 250 euros a month, you?

I have Ableton Lite going back to V4. They alwaysscalawag wrote: Mon Oct 01, 2018 6:40 pm They freely updated my Ableton Live Lite 9 to version 10 for free as we speak!
Usually they don't freely update Lite versions.
And no, i'm not a fanboy. I use Tracktion Wavefrom 9, but would like to test Bitwig without the VST limitation.
update, no motive not to. They know as the years pass,
some lite users will move on to the full version, so the Lite
will always be kept quite current, and readily available.
You're no fanboi, you already know about vsts,
so admit it, you just want a better freebie

Currently, the biggest problem for employers
is filling their job openings. From Maine to Cailfornia,
from Alaska to Florida, from Hawaii to Minnesota,
there are diverse climates and careers awaiting.
Hunting, fishing, gardening, golfing, beachcombing,
clubbing, skiing, amateur sports, horses to ride,
cows to eat, and with your knowledge,
you'd likely earn $1600 a month to start,
at a Guitar Center, surrounded by gear
and gearheads. You're not in chains...

No they don't. I had Lite 6 that was never updated, and later got Lite 8 with another controller, that was never updated, and later again got Lite 9 with an Akai.glokraw wrote: Mon Oct 01, 2018 7:06 pmI have Ableton Lite going back to V4. That's surprising. I haven't logged into my ableton account for years and I just did to test what you said. When I login I see 5 copies of "Live 10 Lite" from various older versions from hardware purchases over the last 12 years or so.scalawag wrote: Mon Oct 01, 2018 9:25 pm No they don't. Feel free to call me Brian.

Me too mostly, but I use more than two 3rd party plugins tho, that's why only that limitation bothers me, if they ditched it, 8 track would be awesome and usable for me.

I don't because I only use FX as part of the overall sound design so can more easily do that in Kore or Bidule to build complex multis, don't need additional fx outside of that.

Understandable, Morphit and OTT live on my master for example, so pretty much I immediately hit the limit, also except for Drum Machine/Sampler, I really don't dig anything from Bitwig instrument wise, so I'm always beyond limit and when it's time to save I need pretty much to bounce everything, save presets and come back to audio session where I need to recall everything back how it was, so instead I just continue in other DAW and use Bitwig as scratchpad.
Browser in conjunction with Drum Machine/Sampler is ace, for drum parts workflow is beyond amazing, but hope devs will implement few of my FR's into ADSR Sample Manager and at that point I will have similar workflow in my other DAW thanks to that, which is half thing of Bitwig for me, other thing is scene/clip launching mode, but again, that aspect is only valuable in composing/experimenting phase and beyond that I actually find my other DAW more comfortable for work, so again, it would be nice to have total MIDI recall, that would make me work way more with Bitwig, so they are really not making their case any better, they seem rather desperate to get you on full version without giving you much space to fall for it, again, IMO, Live Lite without VST limitation is quite usable on contrary, but I dislike it with a passion, again IMO, YMMV and all that.

That DAW is premium that you either got with Nektar or Beat, it's not Studio One Prime, second, yes, that (limiting VST's count to two instances) is desperate move, rendering whole thing as glorified update coupon demo, now get off my case.pdxindy wrote: Tue Oct 02, 2018 12:02 am They are desperate because they don't give you what you want... for free...
For the last time, happy for all of you happy campers (and ones that don't use it, but think could use it, but still wouldn't use it), can you just accept my personal opinion and leave it expressed without further shoving of yours, thank you, have a good life.
