And some cute birds that become something terrifying with a little help of BYOME :hihi:

OK, I'll stop now :hihi:

Wasn't this thing supposed to be released today? No announcement from PA, no price, and only accessible via direct link doesn't seem very released to me :?
The life you have, the life you need, is not the same as the one in your dreams

Not demoing this until I know I can afford it; trying to save up for more eurorack. With the overlap between this and the rest of their range, it's not going to take priority over hardware if it costs the same.

That being said, this looks like a real masterpiece and I hope it's a great success.

thanks - for me it is the more subtle things (you showed) that are more interesting - there are no end of glitch fsu effects around and the outputs all end up sounding the same ie FSU-ed :) That's one of the common problems with FX demos, they tend to just be "crazy shit" that don't really give an idea of the subtlety of the programming

Post

Yeah, that's why I didn't do an FSU demo at first, I wanted to show that this is more than a "throw me onto something and get glitches" plugin, it's a very versatile sound design tool :)
However, if you just want to glitch things out, it can do that too :hihi:
The various buffer effects and the flexible modulation system are perfect for that :)

BYOME is awesome for Arps.
This starts dry to show a rather plain Arp.
Then BYOME is added with a special preset designed to bring movement and tone to the Arp to make it more musical.

Waiting for the price... But BYOME look very interesting. I have and love all Unfiltered Audio's plugins. Hoping for a crossgrade.

I doubt there‘ll be a crossgrade.

It has several subtle shifting frequencies, delays and some reverb, automated into a single preset.

Very nice!

Interested in the plugin and digging PluginAlliance.
Although I just hope other developers won't start copying this new thing of releasing products (as much as they want to call it "prerelease", "beta" or whatever) without a price set.
If everyone started doing that it wouldn't exactly be the coolest thing on planet Earth.

Still in beta phase, it seems

Opening BYOME interface in Bitwig makes CPU and GPU usage surge to 20% and depending on your luck the UI is either scaled properly or it's all over the place.

edit: Same story in FL20; High CPU utilization even in idle. Makes no sense that the UI consumes as many resources as Overwatch.

Man this is amazing. I already own all UA stuff...and i knew this was an instabuy for me...but im even more amazed than i expected. To have the spectral analisys from zip ost underrated comp in the world) along with the auto threshold/comp feature is amazing. Also, quantised chorus anyone? Yes! All the distortion modules are incredible...resonator really really awesome.
I have been looking for something to do special and interting effects wityh. I already have MXXX which is king...but this is something really neat and really interesting that i can put on anything and within minutes i have created something with real movement that can make a build up/break down/ transition come alive.

That said, dont overlook this as a mixing tool. People always do that with UA products. this isnt just for wild stuff and FX. In my experience, zip is one of the best most useful mix comps out there, as is the rest of their stuff.

So glad this came out. Thought it had been a while!
Is there any future scope for maybe having freely routable audio? Would be nice to create parallel chains

Not seeing that here at all, In either DAW. At idle it adds 1 point on the cpu meter in FL20 here.

In task-manager, not the internal meter in the sequencer.

Ok, yeah I'm seeing it there. It's the same with SpecOps, so it's by design I imagine.
