$129 normal, $89 release :tu:
That's positive thinking!

So far 99 % of the Byome audio demos I have listened, sound rather boring, and unusable in the real song mixes.

Post

I'm hoping for a "heavy-hitters" discount on this one ...

Yup- I downloaded the demo and whilst I like the interface and the 'concept' I couldn't really get anything I actually liked that much out of it in the couple of hours I played with it.

Its very clever, but personally I far prefer the individual fx (reverb, delay etc) in other plugs (eventide, soundtoys, valhalla etc) and building unique racks of individual plugs that specialise on each task.... if I want to mangle in 'that' type of way I have Tanta, Turnado etc but I don't find a huge amount of practical use for them to be honest, they are just fun!

So not for me, but I am sure it will be for some...ultimately it will depend wat type of music you are making.

I think it just needs subtle nice presets which are musical

So what you don't have to buy it and all there plugins a reasonable priced anyway.
In your opinion!

I find it a bit hard to control or inconsistent. Sometimes it causes this extreme latency and I haven't really identified what does that.

Yeah, the granulator is awesome!

If Zip is $149, then this has to cost more. I would say $199. But with all of this "No price, try the demo, you'll love it," release strategy, I'm thinking they are pushing for a higher price. So my final guess is $249. Not sure about intro discount.

it didn't take long for me to gett things i really like. similar to things i do on my eurorack system and really musical things as well that aren't just sound design exercises. stuff that works in compositions. i really like BYOME. it's just so capable of so many things.

I'd bet on a $129 intro, with full price somewhere around $199. Probably too much for me at the moment, but the examples you all have been posting sound fantastic.

Another example:

This is where Byome excels, automating FX...

This fx may seem subtle enough but in indeed very complex.
It includes pitch modulation, delays, tone controls, saturation, reverb, etc...

What makes it uniquely Byome is the TEN controllers that are programed to automatically shift and breath with the part.

This allows for some very organic effects.
