Diversion 2 is still in early development stage, but it probably will be free update for version 1 owners.
I wish Diversion had midi output like Thorn. Maybe next version.

O la la. Well that's some very nice news then. :)

Stress "probably" as he could change his mind.

Post

Sure. Taken with "a pinch of salt". ;)

Post

No way its a free update.

Did you talk to the developer? I think musical gym did.

Again, though, if he changes his mind, fair enough. Rather a matter of "a bonus on top of it".

Post

Best to contact him directly if in doubt.

Thorn can send output (midi) of its arp to other vsts and to track in daw.
Diversion cannot.

If you love unison with lots of polyphony. Basic stuff without unison and it barely uses any cpu cycles, still sounding like a million dollars.

Just made a monophonic sequence with 8 voice unison and some modulations and cpu usage was around 4% on my 3,4ghz quadcore. Though a pad that I made with same unison amount and 8 polyphony, immediately bumped the usage to 25% :P

IMO Diversion isn't too much in to bass.. Of course it can do bass but I find some other synth better at that. But when it comes to anything else.. Damn..

Just in case ... Divinity for Diversion (170 new presets)

Yes, you're right, but this is exactly the problem : Diversion is a precious b!tch. You have to be careful when you use it. You can't simply use it like you would use Sylenth1 or Helix or Circle or any synth... You have to think about everything you're doing to save CPU usage. :scared:
