It does not have the SpecOps algos and tbh (judging from the videos) I don't think it can replace the other two specialized plugins at all. I'm owning sandman, does it have the different Delay Algos? Buffer start/stop/size/flush?pottering wrote: Mon Oct 08, 2018 9:25 amBYOME seems to make Dent 2, Fault, SpecOps and Sandman Pro outdated, those cost $426 all added.Sampleconstruct wrote: Sun Oct 07, 2018 2:12 pm Place your bids on the release price. My assumption would be 149 $. Closest bid wins an NFR.
To me it is a capable and usable FX rack with great modulation capabilities. E.g., I guess Bitwig people could achive the same/ a lot already with their DAW side modulation. Unfortunately only Bitwig folks have it, because other DAWs follow that grand daddie tradition "everything (every automation) hand crafted please" - they forget about "options are good". Oh, offtopic. But I wish so much Studio One had that modulation which Bitwig has. Bitwig + plugs is the sound designers toy of dreams I reckon.
Totally agree...i have left studio one, mostly because they didnt keep up. At first it seemed like a future proof daw, but then i found waveform, fl and finally bitwig (which im almost certain im going to move to now)
Specially if you are already into the ableton style of working, its almost a no brainer (if it werent for push)
But yeah, this plugin DOES have some interesting mod options that bitwig doesnt - notably the analisys algos from Zip compressor - freaking awesome.
My fave thing about this is the saturator and harmonics module, they sound really great. And it is fun enough to justify for me.
Are we going to be able to assign all params to host automation? that seems vital to me. Seeing as there are a limited (small in my opinion) number of modulation modules, it makes sense to do the more boring, simple mods with DAW automation. Then just use the internal mods for the interesting stuff.

This isn't very helpful as a sound demo, but I just used BYOME a bunch on a new track:
https://soundcloud.com/deltasign/fld_in
I really, really like BYOME so far, in case you couldn't tell
I made this while having a stupid headache. I don't know if that influenced the track
The headache is gone now, so I must have done something right

I posted this in the more general UA thread, but am reposting here for visibility:
We’ve isolated an issue that is likely causing the GUI slowdowns reported in this thread. Performance is already greatly improved on our machines. We will send a patch to Plugin Alliance once we also reproduce a few reported crashes.
We greatly appreciate all of the positive feedback so far. This plugin was a massive undertaking for Josh and I, and the codebase is larger than all of our previous plugins combined. We’re very happy with the low number of bug reports so far, but we want to make sure that the BYOME experience is rock solid for everyone.
If you encounter any bugs, please report them on the Plugin Alliance Tech Support page (https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/tech_support.html). They keep track of every bug for us, along with detailed tech specs and steps to reproduce. Additionally, sending reports through them will also alert their Quality Assurance team. This will ensure the fastest turnaround on our end, as every engineer will know what to test in the next patch.

Thanks for the update. I've had a GUI hang when opening a second instance, which completely froze the DAW interface in Live 10 on Win10. Also another user on the Plugin Alliance Audiophiles group on FB got this bug in Cubase on Win 10. Is this possibly confirmed and/or fixed in the update?thelizard wrote: Mon Oct 08, 2018 10:56 pm I posted this in the more general UA thread, but am reposting here for visibility:

Yes, you can definitely save presets in the demo. Can't help you with the path on mac, though.
