yes. as in their other plug ins there are various sequencers in the modulation system. the modulation system is truly modular. you can modulate the modulators

Been wondering if Michael's Reaktor work has shown up in this product.

edit: from MW forum
Reaktor Blocks overlap: Yes, some of my Block effects have been ported to here. We've also turned the Logic Mix Block into a Modulator.

And all this is cool and all but when it comes down to it the question is How musical is it? Some of Richard Devine presets on many plugins are just weird not musical

Never heard any Richard Devine presets musically usable. That's not their goal neither. But I think Byome can totally be 'musical' if you use it with that intention, in a more subtle way with less crazy all over the place modulation cables going everywhere. It's pretty much up to you.acousticglue wrote: Wed Oct 10, 2018 8:34 pm Some of Richard Devine presets on many plugins are just weird not musical

it can be whatever it's programmed to be so "can it be musical?" is sort of moot question. it can be really simple and bread and butter or more complex or totally sound design weirdness or super lush.
i've done things to basic pad/organ sounds that i really like. turned them into these spacey syfy wandering atmospheres.
just w/basic things + modulation you can achieve a hell of a lot. lot's of beat trickery but lot's of rocking time synced mojo or minimal processing of one sound etc etc etc..

A complex piece of gear like this can do so many different things, it would do it injustice to call it unmusical just because one may not be into some of the many things it can do, in my opinion.
It doesn't have to be used for glitches, if that's not what you want it to do.
All of these start with the dry sound at the beginning. If the stuff BYOME does to these different sounds doesn't sound musical to people, it's my fault and not BYOME's. You can totally use it in many other different contexts.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't judge this by the sound demos and presets alone. With a complex effect like this, the demos and presets are always heavily influenced by the creators taste, because such effects are far from being one trick ponies.
I'm also looking forward to Richard Devine's new album, which should be out next month

I didn't judge it you guys rushed to judgement. I rhetorically asked Is it musical? Thats all that matters. And I know some presets are made to show off. But there are some that show off and are musical. But right now the output weirdness in Reaper must be fixed and have a price point.

And Byome worked fine except CPU after Reaper 5.96 update.

If you just select Byome and no other programs its a piece of cake.Delta Sign wrote: Tue Oct 09, 2018 9:24 pm Yeah, I'm usually not a fan of installers like these, but this one isn't that bad, honestly.
Of course the other demos are tempting.....so tempting...
