Will buy it eventually, because the sound is so 70s. But it's a bit pricey. Normally Arturia would bring out something like this, so depends on whether I can wait that long.

We talked to the GEM managing director about your price concerns. Thanks for bringing it up. We are impressed with the first sale figures and can take away your concerns.
We had about 27 Beta testers reporting bugs during the Beta period and where very happy they did. As far as we know there are no unsolved bugs left. So please let us know if we missed something when you still like to support our company

The intro price should be the regular price.
Someone will buy it at that price sure, but not me.

Dude, what a douchey, arrogant, ignorant response from Martinic. Didn't expect it. And I used to like the guy.
OK, three things.
First. This plugin don't really cost 150 euro. It's overpriced, period. You have issues with the GUI, it's not scalable, knobs and text look tiny, the advanced settings panel is a joke and needs work. Overall, this doesn't feel like 150 euro instrument, it's lower tier.
Second. Pricing concerns, as well as GUI concerns and other things, were expressed not only by me, but quite a few others here. You're just disrespecting a lot of potential buyers by not listening.
Third. Don't be another d-bag, ignorant company that rips musicians off and won't listen. It's not a good start for a new company like yours, meaning Soundion.
OK, you can listen, you can ignore. Whatever you choose, it will affect you and just you.
I'm surprised you made a good sales start. It appears "fool is easily parted with his money" saying is true.

@Dullee: You come across as not just an uncivilised person, but also an ignorant one [mod edit: unacceptable portion removed].
Quote Dullee: "I'm surprised you made a good sales start."
It's called the market principle – if a merchandise sells well, it means that the price is seen as fair for what it offers to many prospective buyers. It appears that €99 is regarded as entirely fair for an excellent instrument, at least to organ enthusiasts who crave the unique character of the Panther. Quod Erat Demonstrandum.
Now, I don't know how sales of the Panther will fare with a 'regular' price of €149. That remains to be seen. Ray of GG Audio and Guido of GSi both sweetened their Hammond clone deals by including the Leslie sim as a separate FX plug-in. Perhaps General Music might consider something similar by including the LEM Echo Music tape unit as a separate plug-in in an update? Just sayin'…
Almost forgot – I apparently belong to 'the fools easily parted with their money'. Playing the Martinic Elka Panther, I don't mind one little bit.

Oh and please consider donating (if you haven't done already) a couple of licenses to this annual event at KVR forums that's currently happening:

Always a cool gesture, getting some more exposure to Bring ELKA Back / Generalmusic / Soundion, while helping the kids at the same time![]()

Found something I would never get using the betas.
The install process (on Windows) behaves properly by raising the UAC prompt and continuing with admin-privileges so everything is fine, as it was during the betas.
...but, there's now an issue with the license file, if (like me), the user runs everything with a non-admin windows user.
When running the DAW, the Elka Panther VST fallsback to demo mode, because there's no license at (that user's) %AppData%/...
Had to look everywhere for that license (registry, filesystem). Now that I know where it's placed during the installation, it's quite easy to fix, but others may have this issue and not know how to fix it.
So, wouldn't it be possible for the installer to capture the username that started the install process and use that as the proper path to install the license instead of the admin account (at the time and temporarily) running the UAC raised installer instance?

I'd just like to thank the developers in regard to the generous contest giving away 3 free licenses of
Elka Panther to the participants of the beta program... As I happened to be one of the winners (yay!)
Anyway, although I'm not of Facebook, there is another contest on their facebook page that
bears mentioning:
"At Soundion's facebook
page, there is another giveaway.
SPREAD THE WORD … AND WIN
When you share this news in your social media network and let us know,
you will participate in the draw where there are lots of giveaways and
an absolutely Huge Grand Prize GEM Promega 2+, the most authentic of
digital stage pianos, manufactured by Soundion and used by megastars
like Rick Wakeman and Don Airey. Retail value €3,300
The Mega Prize Draw will take place on November 30th.
Participate and spread the word"
Good luck everyone...
Thanks again to Soundion
-Cheers
