I use 4 DAWs: Live, Cubase, Reason and Reaper. I voted Live and Cubase because they are mostly what I use now.

I'm liking more Live than the other DAWs because I like its midi editing and overall workflow. Cubase is what I used the most during the past years, while Reason I use it from time to time because I like its cables

Reaper is a tester and fill in the gaps DAW for me now, but I could use it as my main DAW with some struggle in editing!

I anticipate using Live more and more in the future, but I don't know which will be my second DAW! Or I might just use Live! I'm not limiting myself, so let's see after finishing few songs with it, what I would feel then (I have Live Standard 9 but don't feel the urge to upgrade any time soon).

i do a lot of my work in Maschine, and then i bounce all the tracks into Cakewalk by Bandlab

Also, Bandlab, Cakewalk and Sonar is a single DAW

You know, it's not that simple. Over the weekend I was actually thinking of maybe selling some of the VSTs and/or DAWs, but going through each of them I either couldn't imagine myself getting rid of them or realised that the selling price would be so low, that it wouldn't make sense to not just keeping it:D

Occasionally demo other DAWs, but Reaper still the best for me and used the most.

Ableton 10 is and will be my main daw. Reason was my first one and i use it more and more again. then there is Bitwig 2.3 for fun and Studio One for mixing and audio stuff ... and some FL. i have a Waveform 9 license, but is feels so crowded ... like FL ...

interesting, why do you use Studio One for mixing and audio stuff and not Ableton or Reason?

I'm going to get REAPER 6.0 and maybe retire the ones above.
Ableton Live Lite 4 is the only one of the bunch that won't let me save projects. Retire that one for sure.

Below are the DAWs I own listed in order of present usage:

1) PreSonus Studio One 4 Professional
2) MOTU Digital Performer 9.5
3) Samplitude Pro X3 Suite
4) Steinberg Cubase Pro 9.5

Overall, Samplitude is still my favorite DAW, and it will probably regain its top spot in due time. However, since purchasing a Faderport 16 and upgrading to version 4, Studio One is receiving significantly more use than in the past.

I started filmmaking this year and use Digital Performer for audio editing and scores. Every now and then I use Digital Performer for non-video music production, but those occasions are less frequent than Studio One and Samplitude. I am unsure why this is true, as I could easily live with Digital Performer as my only DAW.

Cubase is the odd ball in my DAW collection. I used Cubase as my primary DAW when the SX/SL versions were new on the market, but switched to other DAWs thereafter. I upgraded to Cubase Pro 9.5 earlier this year for the online collaboration features, VST Connect, since I longer live in the state where I built music-related connections for over two decades. VST Connect Pro allows me to continue to work with friends, as well as family members, in real-time over the internet. Once the tracks are captured, I transfer them to one of the other aforementioned DAWs.

With that said, I voted Studio One and Other.

Well, "Sonar" and "Cakewalk [by Bandlab]" are two different DAWs. They're not entirely different, but different enough that you can install them side-by-side, and different enough for the OP's purposes here.
