The best is still missing: your human voice... just hard to arpeggiate...

And then you have Tone2 Nemesis. Also RP Blue 2. Best sounding? I thought the purpose of the thread was to identify high-quality oscillators/signal generators and overall sound. Most technically advanced, etc. and throw away the rest. Dexed and FM8 are from the past, to put it mildly, can't say about Arturia, wonder why?!

Let's not quote again, but most subtractives you mention are beaten easily by MPowerSynth.

And so on...

This is really "What works for you." We have a ton of synths that all sound good for one purpose or another. This is more a participation award.

Personally I use these the most (In order of time used):

Synthmaster - General Can Make Almost Any sound and process steep learning curve
Zebra 2 - Just is super Musical semi-modal and steep learning curve
Biotek 2 - Pads, ambient moving sounds with a HARD WALL with Machine guns Learning Curve (for XY). My favorite to play with
ACE - Old School Synth Sounds easy
Dexed - FM
Wave's Codex - Got it cheap and it works for me (Wave Table which isn't so important to me)
TruePiano from 4font - Piano Sounds. I really feel modeled pianos are much more musical and expressive then sampled. Maybe it is just me but when I hear sampled pianos they end up sounding the same emotionally.

Honorable Mentions - Electrix by Sampleson, Labs from Spitfire Audio and Collective by Tracktion (Simple Rompler)

Bitwig is my DAWs and UHe and Tracktion Synths are my Bae. I maybe buy one synth a year. REMEMBER SELF just one synth a year!

This time a serious answer based on what I actually own and use

Modern VA: Spire, Viper
Vintage analogue emulation: Repro 1 and 5, Diva
Wavetable: Rapid
Semimodular/audio-rate modulation: Bazille
Additive: Harmor

I never was a fan of do-it-all synths like Synthmaster, Avenger, etc, they offer a lot of possiblities but have sort of "blank" sound which I never liked, I can see how these can be the best in terms of flexibility and/or bang for the buck, but not in terms of sound imo.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try
