I’m going to try it this weekend as it seems to fill a gap between HarmoniEQ and FabFilter Saturn.
I am doing the same and am very interested in your results. So far I find I can duplicate SOME Spectre settings on guitar and vocals with HarmoniEQ but find it much harder to "dial in" the subtle levels in Saturn. I am sure there must be some presets to the intrinsically very complex saturn that can "do a spectre" but if workflow is important I can see why it deserves its own spot. I'm monitoring via Munroe Eggs and cross-referencing via AKG K812 with correction curve from Sonarworks, mainly acoustic recordings. What are your findings?
It doesn’t install properly on my system so I gave up on it. The 32-bit version is missing (install option is selected). The brief test of the 64-bit version I did was meh with harsh high frequencies.

Also, there’s no VST3.
I miss MindPrint. My TRIO needs a big brother.

Hey guys!

Version 1.0.1 is ready to download.
- Bug fix: the center of the UI was frozen after a while (only in demo mode).
- Noise bursts turned down to -18dB.
- Added more space between noise bursts for a better demo evaluation.

This new version can be downloaded directly from the website.

Thank you for the nice comments on Spectre!

any ETA on a fix for the oversampling issue??

Post

Damn........ I love wavesfactory. I was pretty impressed listening to the demo video from the email they sent me on my phone. I'm very impressed now that I have it playing through my monitors. It's a trick you could do with some clever routing in the proper host just like most harmonic enhancer/ exciters, but it's dead easy to use and has been well put together.

I do agree with the folks here that it needs per band modes. I'd also love to see fully adjustable oversampling for realtime and export.

Good work,
JJ

Good and Best modes are oversampled, when oversampling a low shelf under 200Hz flips the plugin out (especially using Solid).

Hey guys!

Thank you for supporting the plug-in! I'll go one by one answering the messages but now I wanted to say that version 1.0.2 has just been released.

This build fixes the stability issues of the filters, specially on lower frequencies and using the "Best" quality setting. Yes, that's the "oversampling issue"! It turned out to be not an issue with oversampling :)

This version is recommended to all users!

1.0.3 installer installs 1.0.2 AU.

I suspect that you had 1.0.2 AU already installed?

On my system (10.12.6), 1.0.3 installed the VST2 version as expected but, in spite of several tries, no Spectre Component (I didn't have Spectre installed previously as AU).

So, it seems that the 1.0.3 installer doesn't work as expected when it comes to AU. Spectre isn't present in my default Components folder and neither in the User/Lib/Audio one. Permissions glitch in the Spectre 1.0.3 installer?

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

The 1.0.3 AU is incorrectly installed in the Library/Audio/Plugins folder. Manually move it to the components folder and it works.

Good catch – thank you!

The installer has been updated, thank you for pointing that out.

And yes, next update will include VST3.
