I think this plug will be a big hit and is worth it financially for UA to improve it

... so if I already have Bitwig 2 for modulation and a bunch of effects and mixing plugins and granular synthesizers is Byome mostly redundant, aside from the presets? (Guess it's easier to make/sell 3rd party presets but that seems like a lot of money just to spend more money to get something closer to what I might actually use.)
Won't there probably be a better sale on BF? Or is this the best it will be for a long time?

If it gets cheaper than this short term I think quite a lot off people would get pretty pissed off. I would be if I buy it now and it drops lower in just a few monthsOu_Tis wrote: Tue Oct 23, 2018 10:08 pm Won't there probably be a better sale on BF? Or is this the best it will be for a long time?

I too have Bitwig (And Ableton/Max4Live) and a slew of granular, pitch shifting and spectral plugins but still found Byome to be an excellent plugin.

i wouldn't be at all. I agreed to buy it at the price I bought it at. If they lower the price, I still got what I paid for and the price I agreed on at the time.ThaTyger wrote: Tue Oct 23, 2018 10:31 pmIf it gets cheaper than this short term I think quite a lot off people would get pretty pissed off. Exactly. This is just how it works. No problems in price dropping. It's a gambleATS wrote: Wed Oct 24, 2018 8:32 ami wouldn't be at all. I agreed to buy it at the price I bought it at. If they lower the price, I still got what I paid for and the price I agreed on at the time.
Studio One insert routing capabilities (overlooked quite often) plus Byome should offer some possibilities

I have problems with ableton win 64 bit. Can someone open 3 instances of byome in ableton 10.0.4 and then duplicate this track ? Ableton should hang and you have to close via taskmanager....

ugh.
so this thing looks pretty good...its too expensive, but it looks good.
but...what the hell is up with this installer bs? i wont buy it just because of that.
issues with the demo:
1. have to make an account (why? i dont want an account unless i actually buy it)
2. have to install an "installation manager" or in real terms, a bs drm that will cause problems
3. of course...it immediately causes problems. it crashes if you try to change the install directory by just changing the name in the box. all i wanted to do was to remove "\steinberg" from the path...nope...i had to browse to the location i wanted, make a new folder and then select the new folder from there.
4. installer opens a cmd window with cryptic crap scrolling in it that appears to crash (it didnt crash)...never a good sign. it also did things i didnt ask for in locations i didnt tell it to do them in. why is it installing vst3 and aax plugins? i idnt ask for those. i also didnt ask for an nks file...why is that there??
5. installation triggers ransomware warnings from my antivirus (yes yes...i know its a false positive...but still)
what a shit show this installer is. its this kind of shoddy drm that drives people to piracy in the first place.
all this for just a demo? come on.

and its getting worse.
this thing is amazing and im probably going to buy it anyway.
i hate being held hostage by stupid useless drms that do nothing but screw with legit users. im going to buy this plugin and deal with this absolute garbage installer shit...and in a month people will just get the thing for free and it will work without any problems cuz the drm will be removed.
as usual...the good guys get punished for being the good guys.
fffuuuuuuuuuuuu

I think it is completely different with regards to plugins that have just been released.tapiodmitriyevich wrote: Wed Oct 24, 2018 12:53 pmExactly. This is just how it works. Shit happens.
If you are someone who has paid full price, on release, or are a long-term customer who's been offered a loyalty discount, then I think you have the right to be pissed if it goes on sale the following month
I doubt this thing will go on sale until sometime next year

Processing a simple electronic drum beat with BYOME using a custom preset which combines plenty of step sequencers, LFOs and a spectral follower to modulate parameters in stutter FX, multi-tap delay and distortion. Video starts dry.

can confirm same thing in fls 20.sacer wrote: Fri Oct 26, 2018 7:52 am I have problems with ableton win 64 bit. Can someone open 3 instances of byome in ableton 10.0.4 and then duplicate this track ? Ableton should hang and you have to close via taskmanager....
1 x byome =
2x byome =
3x byome =
the 3rd instance of byome insta locks fls and i have to kill it with task manager...every time.
