hi all,

Im using logic for like forever now but im always running in the same problem so hopfully you guys can help me. Whenever i draw volume automations my main slider isnt any longer adjusteble. so if i want tochange the overall volume of the channelstrip i have to lover the whole automation curve. I know that in ableton this is not the case and you can edit the overall volume togheter with the automation points.

Can someone please help me figure this one out?

Sorry, I don't use logic, but in Ableton there is something called utility tool, which has a volume control and I will automate that instead of the track slider. I believe in logic it is called "Gain plug-in"

I think this type of automation is better than automating the slider, because it gives you the ability to adjust the slider without screwing up previous automation

Another option would be using VCA assignment.
Make sure it appears on you strip (right click (low strip area) -> Configure Channel Strip Components).
