Hello all,
we have just released Maschine Midi Drum Patterns 2, second and final installment in the series. There are all-new midi patterns, slightly more than in the first part (1st: almost 4k, MDP2 over 4,3K individual midi files).
Maschine MDP (1&2) are midi packs for easy creation of drum loops/breaks.
Because user can create any kind of combination of separate drum elements patterns it is very easy to make your own drum loops and breaks.
Despite the name Maschine MIDI Drum Patterns, it can be used in other DAWs/samplers in the same or similar way.
The MIDI files were made for creating broken/irregular type of beats in first place but can still be used for other elements (hi-hats, percussion) in all genres. If your interest is half-time beats, we created MIDIs for that too.
All MIDI files are in 4/4 and don't have any BPM information (usable at any tempo).
Content
To ensure wider compatibility sfz and Kontakt templates are provided, detailed instructions included in the manual pdf.
Total number of midi files is 4320 divided into categories.
Demo is heavily stripped version (only 5% of full version) but still contains over 200 MIDI files and templates too, no license or other differences.
Maschine MDP 2 Longer Demo
In this Longer Demonstration video we are going to load several patterns/change kits from Maschine factory library/use regular and half-time drums/speed and slow down BPMs all the time so you can have better picture of usability of the pack in your productions.
Maschine MDP 2 Short Demo
This is shorter demonstration video of Maschine MDP2 where we just quickly make drum pattern to support our live synth jam. You can see how easy it is.
You can check how this jam expanded into short composition bellow.
Maschine MDP 2 - DAW use
This is short demonstration video of Maschine MDP2 pack of using it without Maschine, we used Tracktion Waveform 9 (DAW). We switched midi patterns with new ones as soon as they finished playing. As in other videos, patterns were choosen at random.
Audio demo
This short composition was expanded upon Short Demo video where we created drum loop for live synth jam. We recorded those bass notes, added few other synths/strings and this is it. We didnt change bass and drum kit sounds nor drum pattern, same quick basic pattern except on some parts of the composition Hihats or Kick are soloed.

Hi Leichenschmaus, I think you meant in which genres pack can be used.
Directly usable, regular time midi: hip-hop, breakbeat, dnb, half-time dnb, rock and similar (anything with broken/irregular type of beats). Just set bpm of your project to one required by genre. Half time midi can be used here for transition parts (middle 8, intro, pre-chorus etc).
Half time kick and snare midi with regular time Hats: trap, dubstep etc.
EDM, House etc which use 4 on the floor: you don't need midi for kick and snare actually. Hi-hats, Toms midi can be used here.
For triggering percussion it can be used in any genre. There is no rule that you must use Hi-hats midi just for that, you can use those for triangle, shaker etc. Also for kick and snare, you can use to trigger taiko for example.
You should check free pack. It contains reduced number of midi files (only 5%) but no other restrictions- same license.
