LOL argghh indeed.
Another thing:
New SFX> Custom.
None of those FX load...window says "Custom:Low Pass 1", which is actually one of the five files in Wusik EVE V5 Data/ Extras/ Custom Filters. (BTW, the first of those five files has extension ".tx_" ....should that be ".txt" like the others?)

Ah, good point, I will fix it. The tx_ is there just for example.
BTW: I have done the Windows installer: WIN_Wusik_EVE_V5_Engine.exe
I will fix the bug above right now.
Cheers, WilliamK

Ok, WIN_Wusik_EVE_V5_Engine_B46.exe is there, fixes the custom fx problem.
I still need a friendly one to test the BIG 16 Gig Shared file. My internet is super slow to download, and the file was created on the site server itself, so its not in my machine...

I just installed the BIG 16 Gig Shared file (over the previous content in the Shared folder). Everything went smoothly. Soundsets are all listed in EVE, as expected. I tried to load a Soundset from Art Vera New Age into an EVE preset (replacing the one in there) and everything worked as expected too.
HOWEVER:
As reported previously, many Custom Effects, as well as many Custom filters, are not listed as options in EVE.
ALSO:
If I select one of the waveshapers in the Custom FX as an effect to insert in EVE (for example waveshaper 1), I get filter Low Pass 1. This doesn't seem to be related with the Shared folder, but rather a bug in EVE itself.

I was just testing the filters and the FX. I noticed several thinhs:
1. I reloaded a Multi I created for testing purposes, with 4 instances, each in its own channel. Everything played as supposed.
2. I then replaced the Soundset of the preset loaded in Channel 1 (Tron BV Choir). Tried to mess with the filter - it wasn't working. The filter is Multi - Low Pass. I tried changing to High Pass or Band Pass - no change in sound.
3. I then added M24 Low Pass. It worked. I added Multi (third filter). It worked too. I I rmoved the two added filters, and replaced Multi, by M24, and then again by Multi. It then worked. I think this is a bug.
4. The number of Custom filters displayed in EVE is still very shor, when compared with the ones present in the Shared folder. I tried them and none of then worked. Only garbage or silence came out of them.
5. Effects. It seems that the default settings for the presets need to be revised. Some of them are very extreme. Also, I tried the Custom : Delay Recorder, and it doesn't decay. The recorded sound remains forever. If this is supposed to somehow emulate the behavior of a Tape Delay, this isn't it.
Right now, that's what I have to say. I'll keep posting anything new I find.

OK, I tried with less complex soundsets (Analog Night Analog) and the results I get with the filters are:
Karplus (weird behavior, but may lead to some interesting sounds). Only useful position I got was Cutoff at 0, and then controlling the Resonance (which isn't exactly what I expected from a Karplus-Strong algorithm).
The other three I can access from inside EVE are Low Pass 1, 2 and 3... frankly, I don't like the sound, and since they seem to not offer anything we don't already have there in the other filters, I would simply remove them, if I was you. But I will give them a try inside WusikStation, to check whether this has something to do with the EVE engine.
CPU consumption is still VERY HIGH (almost 60% here with a Multi containing just four presets). And I am not using any kind of oversampling. Compared to this, WS7 is a lightweight.

Thanks for the detailed report. The custom filters are very experimental, so you need to use the Drive knob to really get some interesting results. I will also put more detailed info in the manual. Karplus uses the same layout as filters, so it does look weird, but check the Karplus example in the AOS presets folder.
I'm trying some optimizations on my compiler now, will report as soon as I have something.
Best Regards, WilliamK

Ok, here's a VERY EXPERIMENTAL test file.
WIN_WUSIK_EVE_V5_EXPERIMENTAL_TESTS_Plugins.zip
I turned all optimizations I could find and think about on my compiler. It runs a bit faster here, but I don't know how stable it is yet.
I'm trying to install the Intel BIG compiler and see if that improves things up. I let you guys know. If it does, I will use it from now on. But it is a bit expensive tool, still, if it runs much faster, I will figure something out. :-p
Cheers, WilliamK

Sorry, but right now is only for those who purchased it already. Soon I will do an open demonstration version before the RC1 candidates.
You can purchase Wusik EVE V5 on our site.

OK, the 'experimental' dll now loads the SFX.
But check this:
Load VST Reverb DX Light.
Click the button above 'Editor'...Editor opens (good) and red light on button comes on.
Close editor..red light stays on.
Click button again...editor opens and red light goes out.
Very strange.
And why have 'Open Editor' in the right click menu when the button can do it?
