Looks a lot like their tape machine. Are they hoping for a repeat of the success?

not sure about "better", that's a tad subjective.
Contemporary Color is great though!
Still at $28.99 intro price for now.

This saturator is pretty unique. My first thought when I saw this released was - yawn. But I decided to try the demo. Pretty impressive. The range is wide and the dynamics processing makes it even more versatile. I tried out out with electronic drums a la Mictrotonic. My first instict was to start running them in parallel and molding the sound. I also tried it on some Modo bass. Again running a couple instances in parallel.

Here's the track I put together while experimenting. Microtonic has 3 of them in parallel and the bass has one on directly on it and 2 in parallel. The parallel ones are creating a certain aspect of the over-all sound.

I start with it dry and bring the processors in. then out, in out, in. I worked to gain match the dry and wet via loudness. But $83US or $115CAD... hmmm... not sure. :phones:

I think this has some great potential.

50% cheaper and I would be interested.

I'm trying to demo this thing, but it didn't show up in my "Gobbler," so I did as told and updated Gobbler to the latest version - and now it won't start up. Nothing happens when I click the f**king thing. And I can't see a download link for the old installer on Softube's page. Anyone know where I can find one?

Post

I don't use Gobbler. I requested demo and received iLok demo code, then I had to sign out of my Softube account and back in again before I found the installer on the My Downloads page. https://www.softube.com/index.php?id=mydownloads

Sounds good to me, and pretty flexible. I see Plugin Discounts has it at $80. Tempted...more testing....
