George, did you understand my question?
René, what part did you not understand?
Btw, René, if you ever are interested, I'd be glad to work with you (from home). I think z3ta+ and albino2 (not by you ofcourse, but it still rocks my socks) are the best synths ever made, hardware or software. PM me if you are curious about working with me.

Ok, I will explain it again tomorrow when I'm all clear in my head again. Now it's time to sleep. (it's a really easy method though, used it in synthesis with really good results for the cpu usage)george wrote:Nope sorrystefancrs wrote:George, did you understand my question?I bumped it to see if some skilled developer could give any opinions or thoughts about it.

congrats dude!.
I preferred to make this public at the release time of Aodix v4, but i'm not longer part of discoDSP (from some time ago). It was after a long time decision and after agreement between George and me.In Discodsp Arguru is the coder while george makes the GUI and web graphics, technical support and etc.
That doesnt mean that products are death or wont be updated.
In the topic: i dont mean if X samplers offers linear interpolation for realtime or whatever scatological resampling method, if it offers a strict-reconstruction-theorical-perfect-quality for offline rendering (imho, dont care if slow as hell).
Anything else is imho mental masturbation, I would imagine Akai big-boss reading this thread and havin' a![]()

(their samplers alias as 'una hiena cociendose en una olla')
Will go for beer. brb.
Arguru goes solo...
Got plans for Aodix 4...
The only question is do you accept pre-orders...
Do you mind if I announce about it to the public to get them warmed up ?
Where is aodix currently standing ? What are you planning for it ? Would it be possible to run it as VSTi ? ... fill here 100 more questions ...
You got a lot of fans out there, people who love what you write and like the speed you do it.
Let me know if you mind I post about it to the public.

here's an audio setup for you, george:george wrote:Sorry if I didn't looked nice, but considering how subjetive his opinion was, without even giving details about audio setup or another relevant information, I couldn't find a better analogyericj23 wrote:be nice george
My excuses if that sounded harsh for anyone.
the standard soundsystem of a Ford Explorer circa 1993. tell me how one sampler is going to sound better than the other on that particular system.
the point being: it's not. period. I could count the people I know with $1,200 monitors on one hand. and those people I'm not trying to impress. those are the people I pay to master my tracks to sound professional.
I suppose its a difference between those trying to appeal to the general public and those trying to appeal to graphs.
no offense intended, I just don't understand the latter.

This thread is really moribund.
Are you guys set on assasinating not only your competitors, but yourselves as well?
Too bad about DiscoDSP..
dang.

I don't think we are, since this research, as said, is not related with discoDSP but myself. The only one I think have managed to spoil a product has been William. Firstly because it had a very bad interpolation, which fortunaly, got half-fixed.sicklecell666 wrote:Are you guys set on assasinating not only your competitors, but yourselves as well?
And when it seems it's all said he came here again, with a completely off topic comparison about CPU. He finally state to get ouf of this thread and joins again after a few minutes
I'm also getting tired of William fans (since apparently you are promoting his group buy) jumping here to make statements regarding a company or bashing a individual. That has nothing to do with the topic subject. "Sicklecell", your civil behaviour was demonstrated in this thread before, there is no need to repeat the same story again.

edit:
I showed this thread to a couple of people in college, they said they will never consider supporting anything to do with you george. made me laugh, 'cause I didn't say anything about it, I only sent them here to learn how much some people care about aliasing in sine waves almost beyond human hearing (to paraphrase part of a long and somewhat pointless discussion in the mac lab.).
of course one of them continued to ask why the f**k I would bother with a place like kvr, so it wasn't all good.
f**k ya, I hadn't really thought about it before, but I think I'm with them on the issue of supporting certain people. whatever, it won't make any f-ing difference, it's three people in a digital arts college; but I guess if you don't put your money where your ethics are, then you can't possibly expect others to.

Well, that's not entirely true. Arguru has stopped focusing in discoDSP for the good of his personal projects, but he will still get paid for royalties and updates. So he's still part of discoDSP, but not as active as before.Scr1pt3r wrote:Woohoo!![]()

I have lose the count about how many times I've said it: this is research about aliasing and the discussion about it. If you don't care, don't want to support this or tell me "f**k ya", I'll kindly ask you to move on from here.spoonboiler wrote:I showed this thread to a couple of people in college, they said they will never consider supporting anything to do with you george. made me laugh, 'cause I didn't say anything about it, I only sent them here to learn how much some people care about aliasing in sine waves almost beyond human hearing (to paraphrase part of a long and somewhat pointless discussion in the mac lab.).

I have learned alot here. I continue to learn alot. even this thread. despite g's best efforts.

as of this point, I already have. seriously. the topic was moot, to me, from the first word, and I'm only ashamed of myself for reading this far in the thread.george wrote:If you don't care, don't want to support this or tell me "f**k ya", I'll kindly ask you to move on from here.
I don't discount your research, george, only its impact on the grand scheme of things.
to the developers out there: keep doing what you see fit, regardless.
