You mean in terms of cost? Can't argue there

In terms of features. In terms of compatibility (with my PC). In terms of tech support. In terms or reliability. Cost is secondary.

What road is that? The road of being the industry standard for decades? From the way most other DAWs perform, i would agree they have no interest in being an industry leader.

Clearly you need to check more closely then.
Cubase 9.5 £490 from Steinberg
Live 10 Suite £522 from Ableton
ProTools 2018 £499 from Avid
An idiot on Set Theory:

The topic is a simple question - "which DAW do you use?". No need to proclaim & argue which one is the best, because that's very subjective. ProTools has definitely been an industry standard for years (decades?), but for example myself I don't need an "industry standard" - I need a DAW with certain specific set of features and ProTools is not it.

And that is the exact reason I use Pro Tools; i need a DAW with a certain specific set of features and that's exactly what I get from Pro Tools.
Where was I arguing with anyone? I simply made a statement. I can still express my opinion here can't I? Or do i have to clear it with you first.... whoever you are.

No, you don't.JJ_Jettflow wrote: Tue Nov 06, 2018 1:45 pmWhere was I arguing with anyone? I simply made a statement. I can still express my opinion here can't I? Or do i have to clear it with you first.... whoever you are.
But "nothing comes close" sounds different than "it does everything I need". One implies objective "truth", the other is subjective.

They got into the game early and became 'the standard'. They'd hardly make a dent in the market these days otherwise. They sure would make a dent in your handbag though.JJ_Jettflow wrote: Tue Nov 06, 2018 1:07 pmWhat road is that? The road of being the industry standard for decades? This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

This thread clearly shows what a nonsense such polls are. Or, in other words, that KVR differs to the world out there. I mean, I'm happy that Studio One is so popular here, but, it's never ever the most used DAW anywhere.

If all the winning daws would be so bad i think people would not vote anymore hopefully for them? I hope... well in the meantime i got a license for Reaper. Will get 1 for bitwig and have a demo for studio one. I think 1 will be my main or 2nd daw! Now workflow and stability are crucial for me
