Smart, smart man :)
The new Optiweb are really nice. No more burl from the old coating like in the Nanoweb.
Well, I still love the Nanowebs mid range tone, but the new ones are great too.
A little more traditional sounding :)

Post

I need to try out Optiwebs.

A warning from experience; cause the coating is thin the part under the fretboard disappears over-time (in 2 months top), the touch feels slick even though the string gets bad. So you start destroying the frets without even noticing.

Post

I'm already using Nanowebs, I know about coated strings. I love them, and my frets are fine so far (after 10 or so years of using coated strings).

Never had a problem with Frets and Elixir strings :) Its same as other brands - kinds.

postscript :D
Tones are for Reaper and Reason, next: making them for Cakewalk!!!

Thank you for all your enthusiasm and hard work, Dimi!

How about a version of your Tones to include Live users?

Kind regards,

Joachim
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

I would love to demo this but the ear piercing demo noise makes that impossible.

I miss my Laney Linebacker Pro. Gave it to a young relative who sold it even before I could bring him the amp's channel switch pedal...

I sold mine after uni and then a couple years later, bought it back off the chap I sold it to. I was also given one by a bloke at work, but I sold that one on, due to space issues.

Hey! Is this thread still alive? I as wondering if anyone has had a chance to compare Caliburn to Spark. I can't make up my mind which one to get. I know Spark is about 2x the price and that's when it's on sale, and when I can I'll see about demoing them both, but which of the two is the better Marshal sim and just better sim in general, in you opinion(s)?

Please download the demo https://www.kuassa.com/downloads/
and give it a good play and testing! You wont be disappointed! :)

When I tested Spark (which was back when it was first released), it didn't quite click with me. The choice of amps I found slightly questionable as well.

Caliburn was love at first sight, and to this day remains my goto - so easy to dial in tones and sounds great. I've made criticisms of Caliburn before where I expressed a preference for having a Plexi instead of the JCM900, but I've since grown to like the Amp 3 too - on its own it's nothing special, but throw in a pedal and it sings.

That said, I need to retest Spark. Maybe I'll look at it differently now.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.
