Valhalla Delay released

I think Timeless can do most of your list... it has the offset and the individual feedfack control, yadda yadda... but I also own it and don't like it very much.
So I suggest you wait until this one is actually released and see if you like it better than Timeless. But if it then doesn't have all the features you long for it's probably the case that Sean has a different opinion to yours as to what is important in a delay. Some developers might even consider some of your dream-features clutter. Who knows? Just don't give yourself too much credit by thinking your suggestions is all they've been waiting for because they ran out of ideas. Usually developers have a very clear idea of what (and what not) they want to create. And this goes especially for someone like Sean who spends years developing his products.
I'm a fan of making sensible suggestions to potentially improve a product one is very familiar with though. This however is very different from simply dumping a big wish-list in a thread about a soon-to-be-released plugin.

This thread started with a forum member posting a mention of a facebook post about a mostly unknown delay product. It's not Sean's thread, it's not in Sean's sub-forum, it's not even a product announcement thread. It's a discussion in a forum called "effects" about an upcoming delay product that has been teased.
But now the forum police are shaming me because I dared to discuss what I'd like to see in a delay product in that same thread. Cool
. Next time I'll keep in my corner and only make "sensible suggestions" like the rest of you winners.

Neither I am Sean not have I in any way whatsoever any authority to speak on behalf of him and I don't think I ever gave the impression to do so - I certainly had and have no intention in that regard whatsoever, so I am unsure why you mention Sean and his forum in that way.
Also I am not "forum police". Shaming you? Your shame is your concern. But if you pee at the cathedral wall during daytime you'd be a fool if respective comments from nearby pedestrians surprised you.
If you read the first post of this thread you might notice that the OP wrote that the DSP is done.

Except he's not pissing on the cathedral wall; rather, he is offering ideas/suggestions of improvements, to the clergy and the flock, that he feels are sadly missing in other cathedrals, that he would love to see at his place of worship (At the altar of Valhalla)jens wrote: Sat Nov 10, 2018 8:54 am But if you pee at the cathedral wall during daytime you'd be a fool if respective comments from nearby pedestrians surprised you.
Sean has talked of having all controls in the foreground, implying a more focused user experience i.e this ain't the next Echoboy. However, these feature requests seem to be more in the form of adjuncts to features that would very likely already be included e.g the ducking and ping-pong delay suggestions.
I agree that it is clearly too late for such an exhaustive list of feature requests for the imminent, first iteration of the plugin. However, that doesn't mean that they wouldn't be considered in future. And whether he considers them or not, I don't see anything wrong with people posting such suggestions.

Here's one I made in reaktor , it ticks most of your boxesmholloway wrote: Fri Nov 09, 2018 6:12 pm Some things on my wish list for this Delay. Note that these are things *many* currently available delays do not have...
1. independent feedback control for Left and Right delay lines. Why are we always stuck with a global feedback level? Yes, some devices out there (like Ableton's Filter Delay) offer this, but most popular 3rd party delay plugins don't.
2. ability to separate Time (ms) / Beat Sync modes per channel. E.G. Left = ms mode, Right = beat sync mode. Amazing how many delays don't allow this, forcing them to match.
3. some serious offset / pre-delay controls that can be sync'd to tempo. This is missing on soooo many delays, and can be incredibly useful for coming up with variants on Generic / Typical / Over-used timings. Examples that have this are d16 Sigmund, PSP 85 and the new U-He Colour Copy. Bonus points for being able to offset a line both forward and backward in time (most only allow forward). Please don't throw in an offset that is restricted only to ms mode -- sure, that's great for stereo / chorus effects (so include it, sure) but let us also offset the line by beat values!!
4. resonant filter in the feedback path. wonderful for sound design... most delays have just HPF / LPF. Yawn. And using a third party filter after the delay just isn't same at all, because it won't sit in the feedback path.
5. a true ping pong mode. why do so many delays not actually offer a ping pong mode?? (ok, many of them do, yes, but many of them don't...)
5, part two: the ability to swap the direction of the ping pong mode
6. ducking would be nice...
7. on the ducking note, even better: ability to 'duck' the input into the line, rather than output from it. That way the ducking means no new material is getting fed in when the threshold is crossed, but the delays that are already playing don't suddenly get cut off. In my experience this is a much smoother way to 'duck' a delay signal (I do this in Ableton using parallel chains in an effect rack, modulating the input into the delay line rather than the output from it).
cheers!

I was about to make the same point. If past is prologue, then it'll cost $50 on the day it's released and $50 at it's all-time-low sale price (that is to say: there will never be a better price).
