Subharmonic enhancers?

Which subharmonic enhancers would you recommend? I'm thinking of one of the following: Bx_Subsynth (if it goes on sale), Waves LoAir, WavesMaxBass, or Slam Dawg. The Slam Dawg sale is ending soon but from the feature list it seems like I'd prefer one of the other ones for greater flexibility, unless it's significantly better than them. Also de-muddying the low end is a major plus....

MaxxBass adds upper bass harmonics while LoAir adds subharmonics, so really two different approaches to “enhancing” bass. I find LoAir harder to use and it does add more muck to your low end that is harder to manage. I have not used the other two you mentioned.

I demoed bx_subsynth a bit and it's nice. To me it is easier to manage and somewhat the "cleanest" of them. But that's maybe just me. So I missed the sale on bx_subsynth and therefore went with LoAir when it was cheap. It needs a bit more tweaking but is also quite nice. For me it's okay, because it's cheaper than bx_subsynth. ;) Also demoed MaxxBass, but it wasn't for me. I have Slam Dawg too, but so far didn't get much out of it.

Currently there is a sale at JRR for P&M Clarisonix ($10), which pretty much does the same thing and is not bad either. Definitely would prefer that over Slam Dawg at least.

I have bx_subsynth and also Mbassador from Melda. Both are good.

maxbass does most of the times do the trick. but as always; it depends on the sound, how an effect plugins react. slam dawg, even the cheap one, i like, and also works very well. but not that subtile als maxbass can do. loair i do not have, as the other plugins. vitamin, although it is a harmonic enhancer for more freq bands, can be subtile enhancer, but again as loair it isn't a sub thing.. transient shapers also can work.. by the way.. or all together....
i repeat; it depends on what sound you want and how the effect plugin reacts to the sound.
maxbass and slam dawg, depending on what i want ánd the source, work for me. smackattack, for transient shaping, does also has is impact. so an effect chain can also make a sound...

Maxxbass, Renbass and Lo Air are the best there is. It's very beneficial to have all 3 because you never know which one is going to produce the best result. Slamdawg I have too but I haven't really put it through its paces yet.

Airwindows just released Basskit which is free and quite pleasant sounding.

This is one category I think Waves has always been dominant. Maxxbass is 18+ years old and is still the 1st stop in subbass harmonics

Bx_subsynth sounds the nicest to me.

There is also bx_subfilter a free plugin from Plugin Alliance. It’s actually quite good.

Slightly different concept and features (namely the followers section), but also well worth considering, is Thump, which is also free btw.

I only own Brainworx's bx_subsynth and Nomad Factory's Cosmos. Both are good options and can be found on sale throughout the year.

I found Thump to be useful but since I got bx_SubSynth, I haven't used Thump. I can get what I want so fast with Sub.

Yeah, these are good. I do like the bx_subsynth as well.
