Hi guys.

I am trying to setup my system so i would be able to record online computer music lessons.

I want to have a mic running through a preamp and a Lynx Aurora + AES16 as well as recording the music coming out of the DAW (Ableton Live, Cubase).

I already tried Camtasia as well as Screencastomatic and they fail doing so. Support at SOM claim that using the recorder with an audio interface often doesnt work.

Ideas for a new setup? New Software?

Windows 7
32ram
etc

Thanks,
Yaron.

Many people simply connect the microphone to their audio interface, send the voice through one of the channels in their DAW and then the recording software captures the DAW + voice.

Maybe try this until you figure out something else?

Hey Antic, Thanks.

Tried that setup with Screencastomatic as well as Camtasia and it seems both cant record audio when the DAW with asio drivers is open.
There must be some trick and i cant figure it out...

Cyberlink Screen Recorder works fine for me.

It comes one version with PowerDirector as well, so if in need for other software look for packages, there are many of those.

Really helpful crowd as well if you need support.

most DAWs can also do live output recording.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.
