Hi,

recently added Live10 (normally using Cubase) to my list of SW.
However, I could not figure out how to add multiple audio outputs of a VST plugin in Live.
I found below link from ableton site, which essentially says "create all the Audio channels manually by yourself".
Is this a joke or is there a more convenient way?

In addition to that, Live seems to only offer 15 output channels. However, my plugins used most has 16+ channels (upto 32).
Is this also normal, only 15 channels? why not 16 at least. Must be another joke.

Thanks for any hints on this,

Yeah, basically you need to make a bunch of audio tracks and set the inputs to be the various audio outputs of whatever instrument you want to use multi-outs for.

Time was when Live's routing abilities was considered one of its strengths, others have moved on since then.

If there's a particular setup you plan on using regularly you should make it into a group then save the project. Next time you can just load the ready-made group from that project into your current one.

Hi,

thanks, re-using a configured group seems to be a good hint

It's useful to have a generic project with various preset groups/racks/whatever in it.

Can often be quicker than navigating through the browser.
