I only purchased RMV years ago because, I think, there was endorsement from the Pet Shop Boys..
Since there isn't even an RMV page live anymore it's difficult to find that particular endorsement.
I wasn't displeased with the purchase either, but I didn't use any of the built-in sounds or loops. And they didn't bother fixing a DC offset problem I noticed with one of the filters.. eeh, so I've moved on.
Oh, and TC VoiceModeller because Kraftwerk help designed some of the vocal adjustment characteristics (Florian's specialist subject), but my TC Powercore card is in storage waiting for a new system to install it in. And that product doesn't exist now either! So I've moved on. I'm not even sure the card will authorise anymore...
Grr

Paid for endorsements don't influence me however if I see X product in somebody's studio on say YouTube then I'll most likely research it further. I'd be lying if I said I haven't purchased many a thing to replicate a particular sound.
"I was wondering if you'd like to try Magic Mushrooms"
"Oooh I dont know. Sounds a bit scary"
"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

Cosey Fanni Tutti's book indirectly led me to buying two TG:ONE eurorack modules, does that count?

+1
Some "celebs" actually have the opposite effect on my purchase decisions, pushing me away from the product.
H. Zimmer, BT and Deadmau5, to name a few.

^BT is okay, but don't care for his endorsements either (yet Stutter Edit and BreakTweaker are products I dig). I think (and hope) chk071 was joking.
