no they havent, i think they have been working on bits in between other jobs tho

there are are new filters in D3 that would seem to be transferable to other projects (with or without tweaking) , so its prob not as big a project as starting from scratch.

Wonder what's the point after u-he just killed it with RePro.. A Oberheim emu would be much more to my liking.

Same can be said for the legend , it killed both diva and monark concerning cpu load .
A synapse prophet that sounds just as good as u-he , but with a smaller cpu footprint is always welcome

Besides the DUNE 3 beta (which currently is work in progress where i participate as one of the testers...) also a Prophet 600 and Oberheim OB-Xa emulation are mentioned there.

Speaking about filter chips both the Prophet 5 Rev3 and Oberheim OB-Xa used CEM 3320 chips while the SCI Prophet 600 used a CEM 3372 like the Obetheim Matrix-12 and Chroma Polaris did.

Indeed:

We are working on several emulations, mostly the OB-Xa and the P-600 right now. I think we can nail them perfectly, but until we have several comparisons finished with real patches that sound 100% the same (not just filter sweeps or something), I can't say for sure yet what will be next. Should we encounter major obstacles somewhere, we will simply abandon that particular emulation since we don't want to release something that is not authentic.

When he says pretty much every parameter can be adjusted per voice, I wonder if it wouldn't make more sense to simply build in a kind of random generator, which slightly changes the parameters of every voice played relative to the set value.

I'd much rather see Synapse do something with the .szf Oscillator in Zampler. Multiple layers like Dune with similar FX, Matrix, and editing would yield some amazing sounds (when fed with sample content of sufficient quality).

I have zero interest in a P600 emulation. It probably wouldn't take me very long to warm up to an OB emu but it wouldn't be my first choice since my cup runneth over with VA's.......
