Same problem with the chord generator. I check the others and the melody generator might have an issue on were you click it to change the notes. Meaning, it doesn't work if it is right of center on a quarter note, but, works correctly left of center.

all the other generators that have manual editing seem to work correctly..

MIDI Echo / Decay isn't ghosted

and the CPU usage is

2tracks (video above) and 2 Nexus instances (without the 4 variation plugins it's 74%)

same project RC 3.6b11 was 48% (btw. b11 works superfast compared to the lates beta )

And I was wondering if you had plans for the home key? If not, map it to send play back cursor to start??

ahh ok, cool.. hey, I noticed that phrase transpose seems odd if key switches are used. Not sure though.. I have a video, just need to upload it..

The program also hangs when I drag a midi file like a rhythm to the rhythm arrow in the generators!

Hi lulukom,

does this happen for every MIDI file? Please try the same with beta14 which worked for me on macOS and Windows when I dropped a MIDI file to the rhythm drop target.

RapidComposer v3.6b14 is available!

Other than bugfixes there is a "dotted notes" option for the rhythm. I am not sure how useful it is, I need more feedback about it. Probably it won't be included in v3.6 which release was postponed to the first week of December.

3.6Beta14 changes:

• Experimental rhythm processing option: use dotted notes (may not be included in v3.6)
• Clearing the rhythm editor is possible by right-clicking on the background
• Fixed possible crashes in the phrase inspector when it was opened in its own window
• Fixed manual rhythm editing issues (e.g. with Bass Generator)
• Fixed crashing for complex voicings in the voicing editor

Yes, unfortunately, and 14 beta hangs from dragging various midi files as a rhythm to the rhythm arrow in the strum generator. (

I tried various MIDI files but I could not make it hang
I dropped those to the strum generator.
BTW I spent a whole day to find and fix problems with the phrase inspector when it was open in a separate window.

Beta 14 fixed the manual rhythm editing, but, you forget the clear button?? Also, not sure if this is a bug, but transpose on the phrase gives different results, for phrase copies. I also found a track solo bug.. all in this one video.. hehehe

I wasn't able to break RC (this time ), but I can feel a disturbance in the Force ... errr in the note indexing using the Chord Voicing
