I like to work very intens with SPAN as a spectrum analyzer on my master i.e. to check bass level relation ship between the kick and the sub or to balance hats and claps with the bass part...
My problem is to reach out everytime for the master channel to be able to open SPAN...
In FL Studio was very easy... just detach the plugin put it on i.e. the top rightmost place and collapse the window if not needed without closing it...
Reaper... easy too... just put it as a monitoring fx which can be shown anytime with a keystroke...
But in S1 I struggle with that...
No window collapsing... no keyboard shortcut to show the master fx...
How can I work like that without always have to open the mixer and click on the plugin slot...?
Any ideas???

I am new since yesterday to S1, so maybe I am missing better options.
But this caught my eye - Macro Toolbar and read up a bit about that.
It's a way to serialize many operations for convenience.
It's a button middle of main top toolbar in arrange window.
Just hover mouse over buttons and you will find it - and press f1 and search macro to read more.
Connect to a key command and seems incredibly powerful.
Such macros are exchangable as well, so somebody can make one for you if you are unfamiliar with programming.
There is a broken link to a Presonus Exchange - don't know where that is.

Double click the horizontal meter on the transport to open the Master FX. The mixer need not be open.
Or ... make an automation track for the master bus and make a macro so that you can open it by key command from arrange. Last Track + Show Channel Editor.

This was a quick way I was hoping for...LawrenceF wrote: Thu Nov 22, 2018 8:46 pm Double click the horizontal meter on the transport to open the Master FX. The mixer need not be open.
Thx very much... didn´t know that.
I did an automation track for the master...Or ... make an automation track for the master bus and make a macro so that you can open it by key command from arrange. Last Track + Show Channel Editor.
The problem I found by adding a few tracks (always after the automation track) and working a bit on them, that the master automation track seems to move itself quite randomly to different positions...
Seems like a bug to me...
Second: I cannot find "Last Track + Show Channel Editor" in the list of key commands... is it possible, that these are some kind of scripts which I don´t have???

The problem is, I don´t want to have it all the time on the screen... and need a quick solution how I can reopen it quickly if I need it...

No, they're built in commands. Navigation > Last Track and Console > Show Channel Editor.Trancit wrote: Thu Nov 22, 2018 11:04 pm I cannot find "Last Track + Show Channel Editor" in the list of key commands... is it possible, that these are some kind of scripts which I don´t have???

Now I got it... thx
Only problem with that is, that you always have to have the master automation track as last track in the Arrange view...
I thought it would perhaps pick it up from the mixer, where the master is automatically the last track...
But the trick with double clicking the meter is great, thx again

Same problem as I said before... it seems that the master automation track changing position randomly if work further progresses here by duplicating /adding tracks/ making folders...etc...
Sticking with genious "double click on the meter"
But thx anyway
EDIT: Just a last question to you as you are into scripting...
Is there a possibily to make a script which selects the master track if it is not present as an automation track or better, which shows the channel editor of the master track without it having selected??

Here you go. Unzip it and put the *.package file in your \Studio One\Scripts folder and restart Studio One if it's running. The action name is Track > Show Master FX. Bind it to whatever key you want.
