hello,I received a zip drive containing audio files from a Boss 64 Vtrack.I need to import them into cubase for mixing.the files have the extenson VR8 .I tried to rename it to wav but cubase didn't recognize them.does anyone know if it's possible to convert these files to wav or aiff?

And check out Audacity. I downloaded it after a heads-up at KvR. It seems to take most formats. It's a useful app.
I also came across another converter called Fairstar's Audio Converter on a Google search. It has a huge list of formats that it'll convert. I tried it out, and it's pretty simple to use, but I deleted it, as I needed to convert some 24bit AIFFs to .WAV. It only converts upto 16bit unfortunately, but I think it might do the job if your files are 16bit. It's a demo, but the main limitation is only a maximum filelength of 180 seconds; for longer, you'd need to buy it.
But I was very happy with Audacity - nice quality.
