Hi ! As I have some hearing loss and mild hypersensitivity, I decided to hire a mixing engineer for my EDM productions.

This way I can 100% focus on composing music, and all the mixing steps Will be made by a Professional.

However, I have a question :

I am doing my own sound design. I am doing dance music so the sounds are not really complex.

As my hearing loss Is in the high end, I may put too Much treble in some sounds.
I mean, I would try to be neutral on the sounds I create and I would not use any Compressor or EQ etc.

But in Sound design You often use filters to create the main tone of your sounds.

So, if I make a mistake, and one supersaw I made have too Much treble, can the mixing engineer correct it without issues ?

About my hearing : I am not deaf at all, but I have a bad hearing over 10khz.

Why are you starting yet another thread about this same issue? You'll get the same answers you got in the previous threads.

No I am asking about mixing here. I decided to work with a mixing engineer now, previously it was Just about a mastering engineer.

This is exactly what mixing is about: EQing the tracks so they can coexist in the song happy without fighting each other for the same space in the spectrum.

I could do a track for you.

And yes, correct EQ can make a night and day difference, especially in EDM where there is no one expected "standard" sound. Last time I did it for a friend, it was 90% EQ.

Um.. Shouldn't you be asking whoever you're working with these questions?? As a pro mix engineer myself I appreciate direct communication rather than filtering through a forum.. Eq is 80 to 90% of what mixing is.. of course a mix engineer can correct too much high end on a signal!

You can fix everything with the engineer. I had to correct and mix different material. There are changes that are time consuming. I work in three specialized programs so that the frequency balance is built. If a person has Harbal, he is not required 100% hearing. There are references and technologies.

Thanks.

Why would I need Harbal ? I am not into mixing my music, neither mastering
